One question:

Do you will offer a SSO-Addon for the Mediawiki Plattform?

(Like you was saying in post #115:

ndahiya, we don't honestly think that our commitment is going to be a growth of the platform related features at the moment. Our initial and major goal is to provide a smart single sign-on mechanism to connect platforms together and connect already existing accounts properly. We have noted your advice and definitely get back to the consideration in 2012.

^ Good question.

Such bridges have generally not kept pace with both vBulletin and MediaWiki development, and fall into disrepair.

Would be interested to know if MediaWiki was in contention.

Hey, vBSSO MediaWiki extension is under extensive development and it's supposed to be released this month out. Just keep watching this thread.

Hi

I have wordpress 3.4 setup. I have done the install and settings in VBSSO. All the steps for setup went fine. But when I login to my wordpress and then access the forum, I get standard page of forum with login page. It does not login me into forum automatically

To give more info. I have custome login page mylogin.php in wordpress fro login purpose. I also use custom user table "myusers". I don't use wp_users table.

Will this plugin work in this case. If yes, what I need to change ?

thanks
-Suresh

Please read carefully what is told at www.vbsso.com, "Automatically log into third party applications when you log into vBulletin". vBulletin stands as a master system for authentication - not the WordPress. Your users use vBulletin login to get into WordPress, but not vice versa.

Excellent news.

What is the likely minimum version of MediaWiki that it will support?

I may well have to upgrade our wiki in advance.

Thanks!

The version is supposed to be compatible with the latest multiple Media Wiki versions 1.19, 1.20. On your own we would be thankful if you can check it on earlier versions.

Thank you,

I'd be happy to check how it works on a test wiki site (running 1.17.0) and a vB mirror, but I'd probably keep my live site to your stated minimum requirements. ;)

Looking forward to this.

Happy to see Drupal has been added. Now, if only Joomla was on that list.... ;)
