and if you read back a page or 2 you'll see more on this topic.. working perfect in vb4.1.10 |
Hi Paul
I just disabled the mod and my forum has gone down and displays a 503 error. |
I dont really see how disabling it could do that, 503 is an http Service Unavailable Code.
If you have disabled it, this cannot really be doing anything. |
Paul,
I had installed your 3.8 version of this mod on my live board a couple years ago and was wondering how to proceed here. I just upgraded my 3.8 forum to 4.1.10 on a testbed on my local machine where I'm adding customization and mods before going live with it on the internet. After my upgrade I can see that this mod "Who Has Read a Thread" is listed at the bottom of the vBulletin Options list in the Admin CP and when I click on it the mod CP page opens up. Question (and I tried searching this thread to see if someone else asked about this): Is it best for me to uninstall the vb3.8 version and then install this vb4 version, or can the vb3.8 version be upgraded? I don't mind losing records of who read old threads - that's not important to me. What is important is installing this excellent mod as cleanly as possible for future use once I go live with my vb4 version. TIA |
Just install the vb4 version, it will remove any older versions of itself.

Hello Paul,
Very Nice... Good work !!! Thank you very much It s ok for vb 4.1.1.0 ? |
Is there any way to record each time a person reads a thread? I am doing some research and I am trying to watch some threads to see when and how often people return to it rather then only the last time they visited.
|
see the first screen shit in the first post .. click view readers will have a history of what thread those people read ..

I looking to see who has read a post and for it to log each time they read it. Say it's a hot thread and I want to know how many times and when each person read it. Rather then the last time I need every time. For example. If Bob reads a thread I want to see he read it on Monday, twice on Tuesday and once on Saturday. Record all visits. Not just the last visit. I have read the info in the first post and I don't see anything that helps me with this. Am I out of luck? It's a cool hack and I hope what I'm trying to do can be done. |
