Ok I got this installed however when I go to usergroup manager to give permissions there is no option for the classifieds?!?! The only options I have for classifieds is in the vbulletin admincp options. Oh where oh where did I go wrong?!?

hi there the only thing that you might have done wrong is not uploaded all the files.
try re-uploading all the files then refreash the admincp before going to the usergroup manager.
There is one other thing that it might be that is that the admincp did not rebiuld the bitfields so try this in the admincp
admincp/index.php?do=buildbitfields

then try the usergroup manager

I re-uploaded twice and the only thing I am missing or seem to be missing is the ability to give permisions. I did the admincp/index.php?do=buildbitfields and it said it did need to rebiuld so I refreshed the admincp and still no permisions so I logged out completly and went in on a new tab and still no luck sigh

Installed and works fine. (great mod!) Just wondering if there is a way to allow members to add comments to ad postings?

Try a trick.

1. Remove includes/xml/bitfield_classifieds
2. Login to your admincp and goto Usergoups, and just open a usergroup. Normally it must rebuild the bitfields as bitfield_classifieds is missing.
3. Upload again the file bitfield_classifieds to includes/xml/bitfield_classifieds (please avoid a common mistake uploading it to classifieds/includes/)
4. Logon again to admincp and try to change again usergroup permissions.

I love this system and I'd like to use it to transition to it from the single forum we use but the items being 'sold' are actually items in an MMO and no real money transactions are taking place. How difficult would it be to:

• Add the ability to add/remove currencies
• Turn off all PayPal functionality (maybe make this a toggle in the admincp, allow PP On/Off?)
• The ability to add/remove fields from the "Buy it now" screen

Basically isolate the system so that people can post, view and 'buy' stuff on the classified system but not interact with any external payment provider. :)
