well ... that's a new one! Do you get it when you click "Add Feed" button? What url is showing in the address bar when you are at the 404 Error message page?

Even with the RSS feeder not having an incremented post count, the posts were still adding to the sites overall postcount. Just not the users post count.

Is there no way at all to extract that magic post count number? Grrr :(

THis is the URL of the error page:

http://www.letsconverse.net/forums/a...min.php?do=rss

I get this error when I click the Categories link:

http://www.letsconverse.net/forums/a...hp?do=category

Acctually, thinking about it.

My RSS "User" is the only one with permission to create threads in paticular forums. Would it be possible in that case to total threads in certain forums instead, as the number will be the same as the RSS Post count?

Something like

$rsscount = ($forum1count + $forum2count)-1

(the -1 would be changeable in my style as there are a couple of stickies in those forums that would need to be excluded)

Make sure you have uploaded abouttodayadmin.php to the admincp directory.

If that's the case, you should be able to just set the forum's settings to "no" for "Count Posts Made in this Forum Towards User Post Counts".

Hmm... as I write that the way I'm updating the user count may by-pass that setting. Give it a try and let me know what happens.

Thats not really ideal, because users are able to reply to the RSS feeds, so we want their posts to count in those areas!

(I'm a right pain in the A**!)

Yeah, I think having the post counted incremented is basically an all or nothing thing. But, I'll examine it more.

I like how it updates auto, pretty cool.
