It's not my mod, so I'm afraid I can't do that. I can only do what I'm doing now and try to help folks out as best I can.

Also, I'd have to say that's a misconception. The vast majority of 3.7 users who have upgraded from older versions often have made the move with older mods still installed on their forum, or know to check older versions for something they're looking for. A good number of them are still compatable.

I am looking for media definitions for more porn sites outside of redtube which is already supported. We have a VIP section where members over 18 can post XXX rated videos but they have been clamoring for more options outside of the only supported site.

Can anyone help?

d-wiz 07-09-2008 05:48 AM

Still no solutions to the blank page problem due to remaining passiveivd files, anyone?

I wish I could help, but I've mentioned before why I can't work on this. ;)

I can't seem to find the one conversation I remember on this, but as I recall, it had something to do with there still being passiveVid tables in the database. Have you seen any tables in your database still relating to passiveVid?

Digital Jedi 07-11-2008 10:37 AM

Not your templates. Your database.

How do I look through that?

I'm new to all this :)

Digital Jedi 07-11-2008 01:14 PM

You can look at your tables in your Admin CP >>> Maintenance >>> Repair / Optimize Tables to see if anything from passiveVid is still in there. I'd check with the mod developer or someone who has it installed to find out what those tables are named. But to delete them, you'd have to remove them via phpMyAdmin in your hosting account. Though you might want to ask on the passiveVid thread (if you haven't already) if the mods doesn't fully uninstall properly first.

It needs just a little tweaking so it will embed all the Lively Rooms, but other then that it's a great idea. I'll add this to the list of updates in my definition thread.

I already have a definition for MLG: The Game Room available in my thread:

But it needs to be updated slightly to account for the fact that some of their URLs don't have the .html at the end anymore. I will try really hard to get that update posted tonight, so keep an eye on that thread.

Digital Jedi 07-14-2008 02:28 PM

Just to let users who may be monitoring only this thread know, the definitions for this mod have been updated in my thread. I now have 155 individual definitions for videos, audio, games, locally hosted media and other items. You may want to check it out.

XxBuLLeTz, the updated MLG: The Game Room definition has been posted there as well.

yahoooh 07-16-2008 08:55 AM

how to make it work with vblog 1.0.5??
it is not working

Digital Jedi 07-16-2008 11:04 AM

The mod was only designed to work with the postbit. The Geek said you could try to extend it to the blog, but I don't know anyone who's tried it yet.

zorag 07-16-2008 02:27 PM

I can't seem to get it working with MP3 attachments at the moment, could anyone give me any pointers please, here's a demo page:
http://producer.net/your-music-demos...e.html#post623

I thought MP3 attachments would change into a player with NO download function?

Thanks

AME does not convert attachments. It converts URLs within posts only. You can post the full path to the file, but the URL must end in .mp3 in order for AME to convert it.

yahoooh 07-22-2008 08:57 AM

any one can extend it to include , groups ,profiles and other things in vb3.7
it is really perfect addon

dcputernut 07-22-2008 03:25 PM

So this does work with VB 3.7.2???

Digital Jedi 07-22-2008 05:09 PM

Yes, it works on all versions of 3.7.

Stryker412 07-22-2008 06:03 PM

Super Jinni 07-22-2008 11:47 PM

MonkYZ 07-31-2008 11:41 PM

Unfortunatelly Gametrailers User movies doesn't work anymore... too bad. Maybe somebody can update the .xml ? :)

Digital Jedi 08-01-2008 12:46 AM

I'll be sure to look it over for the next XML update "cycle".

MonkYZ 08-01-2008 11:10 PM

Thank you very much Digital Jedi ! I apreciate your work, and surely my users will love you :)
Can't hardly wait for an XML update.

Dan Clark 08-02-2008 02:45 AM

I'm trying to install AME. After getting what I think is a valid install, whenever you try to create a thread or post, you get a blank white page. When I disable AME, the problem goes away. So, I'm trying to figure out how to deal with this...

First, the install instructions say to install "product.xml". There is no "product.xml" file. I installed "product-automediaembed.xml" instead. Is this the correct "product.xml".

Second, assuming that I installed the correct xml file... Any ideas why I'm having these problems?

Thanks,

Dan.

Digital Jedi 08-02-2008 02:54 AM

Yes, that's the right file. Did you make sure your files were uploaded to the correct location in your forum root?

Dan Clark 08-02-2008 02:53 PM

Digital Jedi,

Hi. I copied the AME1.2 upload subfolders to the same subfolder on our web server. I copied the XML files to the ./inlcudes/xml folder on the server.

Thanks,

Dan.

Digital Jedi 08-02-2008 04:21 PM

Firstly, have you ever had any other media embedding modifications installed, such as passiveVid? Some user have had trouble with tables from that modifications remaining in their database even after uninstall. Those tables would need to be removed.

Secondly, try uploading the folders again. You shouldn't have to upload anything individually. Just move everything the same way it's structured in the forums folder to your forum root all at one time. Allow for overwrite. Then re-import the product also allowing for overwrite.

ETDC 08-02-2008 08:53 PM

Great mod - nice n' simple to install.

Works, too. :)

Thanks! That worked. However, I can't find any "Install" option on the AME CP to install additional definitions. I posted in the Definitions thread about this.

Dan.

ETDC 08-02-2008 09:28 PM

Is there a list of what video this will support?

Yes, click the link to the Addon at the bottom of the main post.

ETDC 08-03-2008 06:19 AM

Thanks. Is that not the addon list though, as opposed to the video supported by the default installation? :)

Digital Jedi 08-04-2008 04:54 AM

The Geek designed this mod so that additionally supported sites could be added by the community, and thereby minimize having to update it himself all the time. A lot of the default sites where made when this mod was initially released, so some of those don't even work anymore. My thread contains all the updated and collected definitions made by the community. So you'd need those definitions if you wanted the maximum number of supported sites available.

ETDC 08-04-2008 06:27 PM

Thanks, but I can't get any of them to work - they won't install.

Digital Jedi 08-04-2008 07:40 PM

Have you tried importing a single definitions by itself to see if your having the same problem?

ETDC 08-04-2008 08:05 PM

Yes, I have. It just seems to take ages (the yellow 'install bar' expands forever!) :(
