I have a few users reporting the same problem. I haven't been able to figure out what the problem is. Would love to hear the answer on this one!

Reece^B 05-24-2007 06:43 AM

Theres a few reasons, one is that it's the wrong image type.

Yeah, the "Wrong MIME Type" message was a clue. Already scratched that one off the list for my moderator that's having problems. I can post the pics that he cannot. We have the same permissions for the gallery, but he receives the error on every upload attempt. Not a huge problem, but I'd rather not have his pics tied to my profile. Kind of defeats the purpose of listing who posted it.

Ambient Vizions 05-24-2007 01:38 PM

I'm pretty new to this ... now that I finally got the full path name, now I get this error

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y20...log_nyce1s.jpg

it basically gives me the login box. In the pic you can clearly see that I am logged in already. Any help?

The D 05-24-2007 04:35 PM

I'm sure I will love this mod, but everytime I click 'upload' it asks me to login again. Once I do, I pick my image, put in the name an description and click 'upload', then it asks me to login again. Basically, it keeps logging me out for some reason, obviously.

Any help?

Ambient Vizions 05-25-2007 01:47 PM

NVM I had to set permissions

Is there any way to get all comments to show up as new post?
If a member comments on another members image, that comment goes unnoticed.

I tried the Update Categories option and selected yes for that but it seems to have only effect if someone edits their own picture by putting in a new title or description. It doesn't help when another member replies....
Please help!

jimmywash 06-01-2007 02:11 AM

Forgive me if this has already been addressed........I didnt have time to read through all the replies....

I'm getting this error:

http://musicbygoat.com/photoplog/

The bread crum template just says error for the page. Not sure what the deal is. Im sure the path is right in my config. The backend is working fine....just can't access the photplog index.

Any words of wisdom?

NEVERMIND!! Didnt set my user group permissions. im a tard.

Millenium IT 06-03-2007 02:14 PM

Deadly Assassin 06-04-2007 04:07 AM

This works fine, but the PNGs have this odd wash out over them.

Is there anyway to change this, or do i have to just stop PNG's from being uploaded?

what is the matter?

djbaxter 06-14-2007 11:31 AM

You have to replace the phrase /full/path/to/forum with the ACTUAL path to your forum.

dealxa 06-14-2007 12:50 PM

i replace in config.php
/full/path/to/forum => /full/path/to/
but i have problem

Of course. These are supposed to be actual paths (directories) on your server.

It should look something like /home/{yoursiteID}/public_html/forum but it will vary from one hosting service to another, depending on how your server is configured.

dealxa 06-15-2007 09:07 AM

thanks djbaxter, installed ! :)

santimariani 06-16-2007 01:39 PM

First of all... awesome mod! This has added a touch of life to my forum. I am having a slight problem though... I am unable to use any of the formatting buttons. The whole bar is inaccessible--it is there, but I cannot click on anything. Is this standard, or could it be a mod is interfering this? Thanks! :)

cash7c3 06-23-2007 09:13 PM

this is a great addition

Outbackmark 06-24-2007 10:42 AM

Just installed and very happy with it, Than you very much!

The only thing I changed was the code for the links in the navbar template, mine was like this
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="http://www.yoursite.com/forum/photoplog/index.php$session[sessionurl_q]">Gallery</a></td>
It just needed the <td class="vbmenu_control"> in front to include it in the actual navbar.
The rest is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate it when I get that error because I don't really speak German so it just confuses me...

But I see the word Firefox in there and I also hate Firefox. :o

santimariani 06-26-2007 02:40 PM

Hello,

I was hoping would be able to shed some light.

Whenever I am using WYSIWYG editor, I am unable to post comments because I get the "message too short" message. When I go into standard mode, the problem dissappears. Now here is the thing--if that would be the only thing, I would just add a note telling my users to switch when using the photoplog. However... if a person has the WYSIWYG editor as default, none of the buttons on the editor can be clicked on, including the one that lets you change back and forth between the editors. Does someone have a solution for this?

I have tried logging on to photoplog.com, but, for some reason, it never logs me in although it tells me I have. So any help I can get from here will be greatly appreciated! :)

santimariani 06-26-2007 04:18 PM

Interesting...

Here is what I have found out. When I go to usercp and change my editor to standard, I can post comments without any problems. If I also change it to WYSIWYG editor using the toolbar in the message interface, I can still post the comments, although it locks the toolbar and I can no longer go back to standard unless I refresh the page. Now here is the kicker... When I go to usercp and I make WYSIWYG editor my default editor, I get the "too short" message no matter what I do, so there is an obvious link to what editor is set as default and the error message. I would LOVE to post this in photoplog.com, but I cannot log in at all.

At least I now know what is causing this problem... now if only I could get some help in fixing it. ;)

eduardobarcello 06-26-2007 08:22 PM

Awesome mod! Kinda tricky to make it fit my own template, but it looks great now!
No bugs or error messages so far either.

chatzworld 06-28-2007 02:26 PM

how can i get it to allow moderators to approve images? and not just admins?

you should find your Photoplog gallery here: http://www.cobaltcoupe.net/forums/photoplog/index.php

I've just checked but it gives me an error page. very probably you have put the wrong path in the config file. your Forum rooth folder is named "forums" (I've just cheked) so you must put in the config file
'/home/-------/public_html/forums'
edit this file and reupload it on the right folder

when you will fix this you will be able to see your gallery

in order to add a link to the navbar you must go in your admin panel, to the "navbar" template: so, in your admin panel just click Style Templates---->Style Manager-----> click on the icon near the red arrow of this image:

http://immagini.p2pforum.it/out.php/...oplogimage.png

then click in the icon near the red arrow of the following image:

http://immagini.p2pforum.it/out.php/...plogimage2.png

between the template listed on the left you should find the "navbar" template. click on it.

http://immagini.p2pforum.it/out.php/...plogimage4.png

then insert the following code in the window near "searching template" (arrow number 1) and then
click on the "find" button (arrow number 2):

http://immagini.p2pforum.it/out.php/...plogimage3.png

so, in this template find the red code:
Code:

<!-- nav buttons bar -->

Thank you very much Pollon for your patient and your explanation! :up:

Ciao

Job23 07-01-2007 02:40 PM

How can I make the uploaded picture open in a new window instead of the same when I click on it in the galley?

Stefano Virgill 07-02-2007 02:14 AM

Hi guys,
really hope this editing could be haelpfull.
I installed Photoplug in a subdirectory... it means that when the users go to Photoplog they temporary leave the forum.
In order to give them the chance to go back to the forum home page, even to the newest users, in photoplog_sub_navbar I added this code:

<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="http://forum.yourdomain.com/">Back to forum's home page</a></td>

at the end before:

</tr>
</table>
<br />
</if>

Hope you enjoy

Steve
