does it work for 3.5.3? i have installed this and the options do show up in the panel as well. i have also included the user id correctly. i tried this by registering a new user using admincp but to no avail!

That's the reason.
It is not designed to send PMs for manually added users, as those are most likely testusers.

It doesn't work for me At All.
I am using Vb 3.5.3.
I tried to add admin user name as the Automatic Welcome PM UserID in Vbulletin Option, but everytime I click Save , it return to be number 0 again , it's so weird.
So no auto Welcome PM for me :(
Does anyone know any ideas how to fix?

Have you uploaded the XML plugin file? If so, recheck your edits...

Of course I uploaded the XML plugin file, I have also checked all the setting and everything, it's pretty weird

I wonder where there are edits?
And I even wonder more why people enter a username when they are clearly asked to enter a userid?
And where did you find a XML plugin file when this hack does not have one?
