Something I've just run across.

Every once in a blue moon, one of the members posts a duplicate of an existing post. Instead of deleting it, we normally merge the post/thread with the original. This breaks the link that has gone out over Twitter.

I don't suppose there's an easy fix to this, huh? :D

Instead of merging the old to the new, merge the new to the old.

That's what we do. At that point, the original Twitter link is no longer good.

when i try to import the addon, i get this error msg:

"Connection timed out (110)"

any help?

I like the modification. It works fine and I will be keeping it around for the future. However, I have a comment and a group of question.

I would like to tweet a few posts in the middle of some threads. I wish that I could do that manually but without using the form in the footer. However, I understand your reluctance to make anything that can be mistaken as a spam tool.

I don't understand how the form in the footer is supposed to work, although it does function.

1. Placing a URL in the bottom line and clicking Shorten seems to do nothing. Is it supposed to? Or does that line at the bottom have some other function? When I did tweet using the form and put the URL in the text box, the URL was shortened, but did that have anything to do with me pushing the "Shorten" button?
2. The character count doesn't work reliably. It sort of works once you add a period at the end of a sentence, but people don't always use periods in tweets. It works if you backspace/delete and then add a space at the cursor. Otherwise, no.

@Milad: Very impressive work here sir! I was going to implement on my big board but I noticed someone about 7 pages ago said it cannot be easily uninstalled. Was curious if you have an uninstaller solution? Like currently are the extra database tables removed on uninstall etc? If all that has to be done manually can you post instructions?

The hack can be uninstalled easily, like any other hack, just uninstall the product, and it will delete all the changes made to the database,

Problem solved with using the "override" option by installing the addon!

I did get it after i uploaded / imported the addon.
After i tried with "override addon" the timeout error doesn't come...

But now, i have another problem.
I tweeted few threads manually and it works fine.
But now, if i try to tweet couple new threads i became the error msg box "failed"

where is the problem???? how can i fix it?

UPDATE:
i can see, that i get the "failed" msg box if i try to tweet threads which got characters like ! { . [ / - in the thread title...
how can i fix it?
