is there anyway to turn off the "communities" link and have the search only do local? simply awesome hack, and i really wish i could use it.

The "Autonomous License" ($120.00 one time fee plus $20.00 per year thereafter.)... search the thread for more info... or PM DChapman.

You can do all of that with the Autonomous License. Please take enquiries regarding that to http://network.zoints.com as this thread is for the free version of this modification.

With that said, 1.0 Gold:

1. Always displays the results from your forum first if your members use the global search.

It'll say, "Members of [your] forum:" and display the results.

Then "Members of other forums:" after.

While we understand a few people dislike the idea of global search, it works in all directions. Communities are starting to see more and more traffic come their way thanks to it. The idea is to interconnect communities in a mutually beneficial manner. However, as we realize not everyone wants to operate in that manner, we do have the Autonomous License.


2. We were hoping to release this in 1.0 but couldn't quite make it happen. In release 1.1, the communities link at the top will no longer lead direct to Zoints. Instead, it will be a dropdown of other forums you have networked with. That way you can network with other forums and form "subnetworks" of communities that operate in synergy.

Unfortunately not. :( We wanted to get 1.0 Gold out before the holiday (Thanksgiving here in the USA) and just couldn't make it happen if we worked to include that. It will be in 1.1 however.

Is there a way that the "communities" link opens in a new window? This way the user doesn't leave my site completely when clicking on it?

And yes, we could help you with that (opening in a new window). It would take about 30 seconds to remedy.

I thought it was a one time fee of $120 or $20 per month? I didn't know it was $20 per year after paying the $120 too?:confused:
