DragonByte Tech, I was wondering if we can get an other option added. To hide certain text in post, besides just hide hole post or attachments. I would like them to be able to read some of the post and then hide part of it till they push thanks button.
|
That is a feature of the Pro version - a HIDE tag becomes mandatory when wanting to hide content in a post :)
Fillip |
ok, thanks for the info. I did not see that option in the pro info that you have so did not know its implemented.
|
can be used to vbulletin version 4.1.10????????
|
Yes it works with 4.1.10 :)

Can you tell me how to remove this product without it screwing up my forum?
Whenever I disable I get this error when trying to go to my forum address.. Fatal error: Class 'THANKS' not found in /home/reptilea/public_html/forums/vb/legacy/post.php on line 267 |
Undo the file edit you did when installing the mod (the edit is in readme.txt) :)

well, i FTP'd the files to where they should go, and did the [add/import] XML in vBulletin.
good news, it finished and said something like "all populated". nothing blew up! bad news, i don't see anything different on the site? lol. |

yes, i figured it out last night, thank you for your help. so, what's the difference between "thanks" and "like" ? everybody is asking me that question. |
You can set up different reputation level for each if you like, or you can disable the Like button :)
Fillip |
this is super just installed it on www.naijafinder.com Thanks man
|
After upgrading my site to vb 4.1.11, I then upgraded this mod to the latest version (the Novemeber release, yes I know I am like 5 months late)
Anyways, after doing that, users randomly get a popup saying "invalid post ID" when they try to like or thank some posts. It seems to be completely random. I have tried repairing and optimizing the posts table of the database, as well as the dbtech tables. I also tried installing the mod again. I havent tried doing a full uninstall of the mod and then reinstall because I do not want my members to lose all of their likes/thanks. Is there anything else I can try Fillip? |
Someone else reported that this can happen if they try to like / thank a post from a user that has been deleted.
Sadly without any common denominators I can't do much :( I'll put up a change later today that will print out the postid it thinks is invalid, that should help narrow it down :) EDIT: Grab a Lite version with this change included here: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/vbeco...o&productid=22 Let me know when you've found something in common with the postids that produce the error (specific usergroup, deleted users, etc) so that I can test it :) Fillip |

The usergroup permissions are in "Manage Buttons" under DBTech - Post Thanks :)

Mine is a forum for softball umpires, so that may explain my lack of vision. ;) I should probably clarify that I'm running vBulletin 4.1.11, just in case. |
Go to /admincp/thanks.php?do=button - that should take you directly to the interface. Then, click Edit next to one of the buttons. Usergroup permissions are at the bottom of the page :)
Fillip |
Never mind. Again, blind umpire. ;)
|
No problem :)

That's not currently possible and I don't think it'd be a high priority to add since most people don't appear to be using it that way :(

hi,
I dont understand what it means "2. CHMOD the following folders to 0777 /dbtech/thanks/vbactivity_type" :erm: |
Hmm, this is odd. The like button is not showing up anywhere. I looked through the posts here in this thred and some said 'thanks.php' had to be uploaded for it to work.. and mine is. Yet it's still not showing up.
Any help please? |

In addition, you need to set up "Can Click" permissions via the Manage Buttons interface. If you do not see the DBTech - Post Thanks interface in the AdminCP, you need to add yourself to Super Administrators in config.php. Fillip |
Hi,
I thought I'd let you know. I am using the Pro version and the Navbar Link plugin was messing up the CSS of another mod. I changed the hook location from global_bootstrap_xx to process_templates_complete and that fixed it. |
Switching it to that location resulted in problems with the Home tab for CMS users, which is why we put them in that hook :)
Fillip |
That was happening only with Google Chrome. But it works fine for me as I am using vBadvanced for homepage and disabled CMS.

Hi,
is there a way to change or delete the choice of a user as admin? For Example: I'm an admin and i want to delete an user choice, is it possible? And then, is it possible for a user to change own choice? Thank you and good work, SATANIK... |
By "user choice" do you mean what button they clicked (Thanks, Like, Dislike)?
If so, the ability for a user to change their choice is a Pro-only feature :) FIllip |
I mean that!!!
Thank you and good work again!!! :-) SATANIK... |

my users are going wild because of their missings counters. |
Re-download the lite version from here: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/vbeco...o&productid=22 then go to /admincp/thanks.php?do=maintenance&action=recalc2
Once that's ran, run the other maintenance tools. Fillip |
Is this possible to make thanks/like button always expand in postbit?
Thanks, |
