When I upload my own video, can I also upload my own thumb so that it's seen like the other vids? Or is there a setting somewhere I'm missing for this to create one on it's own from my uploaded media?

The problem with google video is that they don't handle video uploads anymore. More often than not, the video on google video is actually hosted elsewhere. Not to mention, there is ZERO portability within google's code. They didn't design google video with portability back in the day (to be fair, almost no one did)... but since the google video hasn't been updated in YEARS, it hasn't made the advancements that other video services have.

Here's are some thoughts/questions. Not sure if this has been brought up before or if it's possible:

Once we load a video, whether it be from Youtube or a local video and select to have a thread started...
1- Can the selection to start a thread be automatic, or at least a setting somewhere to make it so?
2- Can we have the player embed in the actual post so people can watch the video in the post and a link to both or either the media page and/or the posters profile media tab?
3- Can we have the thread "unlocked" so comments can be place in the thread?

Is the small area shown on the video supposed to show the number of favourites, comments and views? If so, its not updating for me. Strange as the rating above is working. Everything else is ok on 4.0.5, but its definitely not updating the views for me.

I've highlighed the problem area in a red box on my attached picture. Any ideas?

P.S Come to think of it, i may not have uploaded the htaccess file? Update: I've now added the code on your htaccess file to the bottom of the code that was on my htaccess file and favourites and views still not working.

for thumbnail of dailymotion video, only imagemagick work, but it get stuck when it already finish to creat thumbnail and not continue to convert with another thumbnail, i have to repeat many time for each thumbnail in maintenace

Anyone has had luck with the VBSEO CRR for Media Library , the old ones seem to be not working completely for me. edit to the href file not giving me the name. Anyone has any input would be greatly appreciated.

@Jaxel: can you add some new features such as:
- sorting files displaying in category base on Name of title of Movie?
- when click on main category, it also display all unter-categories in that main category.
- some time we have a series film with many files in it, which containt maybe 100 - 200 files, its very practice if we can just display all links (list) to these files in this series as text based name, not with thumbnail like now, so we can display all these links in just one or 2 pages. example like this http://www.phim88.com/online/quan-truong-tham-o-xem-phim-view-72-1748.html
- can we have option so in main page displaying recently updated unter-categories? not recent uploaded files in that unter-categories?

I am trying to create a vbadvanced plugin so that I can show the latest uploaded video but I seem to be missing a template when I instaeed the Media Library mod.

The template I need is this 8WR_media_block which is missing from my default style.

DailyMotion and MetaCafe videos cannot be thumbnailed.

I've changed the thumbnail var for DM but still black square.

did you remember the fix ?

There is a conflict with this modification and some of Valter's VSA modifications that will prevent navbar permissions from being handled correctly. I don't know exactly who's fault it is; but I'm pretty sure there are no errors in my code that would be causing this problem. There is a work around for this however.

Hello, anyone has had any luck with the SEO CRR for this last release? They seem to not be working completely for me at least. Over at VBSEO they said that they were probably not going to upgrade the CRR themselves anymore. : ( They said to ask the developer what he changed and then to make the proper changes to the CRR. Anyone has any input please do tell. Thanks everyone.

EDITED:.We ll just went through all of them and they all work except view video page example:

I had a problem getting this to import correct letters from YouTube. This could be: ???...

The reason this happens is that you made it to just import the data from YouTube (and thats ok if you are not using ??? or any other UTF-8 coding).

The way I fixed it works for import only:

In the file media/media_submit.php

This mod is fantastic and works perfectly on my forum. However I cannot make the local videos to work.

I read all 88 pages and cannot figure this out! Everyone is repeating these instructions below but, is not working for me. Can some please help me?

?An administrator can upload a media to the /customVID/ (default) directory; then add the media to the library using the URL code of "localvideo:filename" or "localaudio:filename". Media hosted locally will be displayed using JWPlayer, but will not provide meta data, so that kind of information will need to be entered manually.?

1. I uploaded (via ftp) my videos to the /customVID folder here are links:

2. Then I clicked ?Submit Media?
3. In Media URL I typed: blue_crab.wmv

and I got ?Could not parse media URL? error message

/customVID/blue_crab.wmv

Same error message

I?m pretty sure I?m doing something wrong I just cannot figure out what!?

Can some please give me step by step instructions? Please treat me like I don?t know anything.
