You just need to make new gift categories and assign the gifts to it. If a gift doesn't have a category by default it will be viewed in the Default Category box.

This was mentioned earlier by someone but I cant find it now.

Would be nice to have in the profiles a page that would show all the current items a person has. The other one (dragonbytes) has a section on the profiles with a tab where you can see all of your items you have purchased or was gifted.

Hey Real quick, Ive noticed that if I give like a lower despoit fee in a secondary usergroup as a reward, it takes the highest number out of all the groups that person is in... is there a possible way to fix this?

im sure when i installed a while back, i could edit all prices of items on one page. is this still possible?

Unfortunately, it's never been possible to edit all prices on a page. You gotta go through and edit the pricing for each :( I probably should add a mass price updater on the next version.


Update: Just an update for everyone, tonight I added a new feature that has been requested forevor and ever to allow for individual usergroup permissions for each market item. These usergroup permissions allow for you to:
- Enable/Disable Usergroup Access
- Set number of times usergroup can purchase item
- Enable/Disable the ability to use coupons for that market item (Yes coupons are being added to 3.1.0 :))

Continue to try and suggest improvements for the market whether the market items, store, bank, purchase history, or converter as I'm trying to improve all sections with this release.

Should those request be placed here or over on vbAddict?

I prefer vbaddict because of the project manager tools. Although I do check this thread because there's a crap load of posts it's very easy for me to lose things or ideas in this thread. I really wish vb.org would include some form of project tools for the more popular mods here..

This is a great system and I really appreciate your hard work.

A feature I would really like would be a way for the gifts to be categorized in the actual point market, so let's say I have sports items, a user can hit sports, and he will see all the gifts available in that category. Right now the categories are just for the postbit, I believe.

I looked into your color request a bit more, what I am going to do on the next version of the Point Market is either in the maintenance section or somewhere on the ACP/MCP have a list of colors. By default the majority of them will be enabled. You can disable whatever ones you don't want to be used but won't be able to add any new ones. That's just because I have the colors hard coded into templates and css so this would be the easiest way to let you control what DOESN'T appear that won't look good with your styles and such.

With that being said, any colors you want in, just request it here and I'll make sure in the next release they are on there. I'm going to try and massively expand the color selection in the next release.



As for my nightly update, I spent about 5 hours tonight working on the coupon addition. It is a MAJOR addon to the 3.1.0 release and has been heavily requested since the 2x series. I'm still probably a few days away from finishing just because of how extensive I'm making this feature, but I really think you guys will enjoy it once it is complete.

As always, keep up with the new feature suggestions and improvements in any area of the Point Market that you want to see. I do my best to make sure everything (within reason) is included into the Market that I can.

Finally, for you vBExperience users, Phalynx is releasing a new release I believe today. I don't know if it will visually appear or not but on the next release there is going to be a way for you to purchase achievements for your profile through the Point Market. This will be completely available upon the next release of 3.1.0

I would love to use this with vBExperience on my 3.8.x site is there any change to get this point system for vBExperience on 3.8 ?

Even if I can get the Point Market to work with the vbulletin 3.8 system, there would need to be customizations done to vBExperience by Phalynx to get it to work. I've had a lot of issues trying to get this thing downgraded and probably am going to pay someone to take the PM 3.0.1 to downgrade it for vb 3.8 then I'll apply the latest changes to it.

It'd work with all other point systems except vBExperience I believe.

Main reason here being I don't want members changing their username colors to Donating Members, Admins, Premium Members, Moderators, etc's colors :P

It should show elsewhere as well. How are you storing the templates/styles as a database or as a file? (Go to your vbsettings area to find out under the styles category)

What color is it showing when it is not working? Is it still showing colors or not?

as a file... like its showing the color just not the glow...

but its showing the glow in showthread hmmm...

i would love for the username to display the same everywhere, ive seen it work on someone else's forum but not mine :( all the files for the shop are installed, i have tried reverting all the templates, even ran some maintenance.. i am fairly savi with vbull but i really dont know what else i can do here..

What format do you set the converter up in, I keep trying and it says input the correct fields.

How do I set up the permissions for someone to use the converter? It keeps saying I dont have permission to access the converter page.

Enter your userid not your username into who it notifies upon purchase and it'll work ;)

It's a glitch associated with how you store your templates. I'm gonna mark it as a bug and try to fix it for the next release for you :)

tried selecting "no" to store CSS stylesheets as file.. it ammends it on forumhome but the header wont show it on all pages.. member profile wont show, the cms wont show it, the last post by ect.. ill try re-uploading the files or what not, in theory it should work if i have selected "no" to store as file?

Come to think of it I never added functionality for it to work on blogs &/or CMS so I guess I need to do that for next version. Basically what your saying is it's working almost everywhere now when selecting NO to CSS except Blogs, CMS, and Member Profile correct?
