Installed, after that just problems with TAPATALK, when you login to forum with tapatalk you dont see links, just see codes.

Can you fix it?

Thanks...

I've got the 3.8.x version installed on my forums. Is it possible to save each users thanks count? If so, how?

Prisoner 01-28-2011 02:38 AM

Yes, somewhere in this thread it tells how to do that.

Prior to upgrading to 4.1.1, disable the hack. DO NOT UNINSTALL!!!

Then after you upgrade, reinstall it and all prior thanks will be restored.

Chase 01-28-2011 09:22 PM

Thanks!

Bob_R 01-30-2011 01:09 PM

When a user on my board goes to give a reputation there is only a "approve" this post not a "disapprove" option.

Is this correct or am I missing something?

Thanks!!

MuseFS 01-30-2011 08:12 PM

Can anybody confirm if this works with vB 4.1.1?

Thanks!

Don't want my question to get lost. :D

Someone asks a question and then someone else steps in with irrelevance. :)

Any solutions?

RockyG 02-02-2011 06:54 AM

Hi,

I love this mod!

I just have one question, is there anyway to have the button a little more eye catching?

I use the warriorforum.com and there "thanks" button is just under the "reply with quote" button. And it is an actual button, not just text. Also it sits under that toolbar, sort of in between each post.

Is this possible? I wouldnt even know how to begin to move it though!

riskreward 02-03-2011 01:35 PM

Just look at the image guys.

Why is the Thanks line misaligned with everything else.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/

How to correct it?

Thanks

Bob_R 02-03-2011 02:51 PM

Is there an answer in our future to post #1286, 1289?

Your answer is that your question has nothing to do with the post thank you hack (or I don't think it does).

That setting is in the usergroup. Look for "Can Leave Negative Reputation" and set it to yes.

1. This product is not compatible with version 4.1.1 of vBulletin. (Compatible starting with 4.0.0 beta 4 / Incompatible with 4.1.0 alpha 1 and greater)
Fairly straight forward install, I tried updating, then removed it and tried fresh install
got same thing both times

Still tweeking fresh install of 4.1.1 will get back to this later then

This issue has been covered many times in this thread.
  1. FIND at line 10:

    PHP Code:

            <dependency dependencytype="vbulletin" minversion="4.0.0 beta 4" maxversion="4.1.0 alpha 1" />

  2. REPLACE WITH:

    PHP Code:

            <dependency dependencytype="vbulletin" minversion="4.0.0 beta 4" maxversion="4.1.99" />

  3. IMPORT XML to INSTALL.

and did not catch that

Much thanks for the 4.1.1 fix!

Add on has been working fine. However, I intend to make one change. Need something to be displayed in bold.

"The Following User Says Thank You to " User" For This Useful Post"

I want this text in bold. How do I do that.

Reply would be appreciated.

Thanks

  1. Admin CP -> Languages and Phrases -> Search in phrases
  2. Search for "The Following User Says Thank You"
  3. Edit the phrase it finds by copying the default and then editing that to your satisfaction

Hello,

I have installed this great MOD on vBulletin 4.1.1 board which has the data imported from a phpBB 3.0.7 board. There was a Thanks mod installed on previous phBB board but the data was not imported by ImpEx script. So I'm here asking help from vB experts to help on this. Here are the relavent database table and its relavent fields.

vB Tables
------------------
vb_post_thanks : id , userid (from) , username (from) , date , postid
vb_post : postid , importpostid , post_thanks_amount
vb_user : userid , importuserid , post_thanks_user_amount , post_thanks_thanked_posts , post_thanks_thanked_times

phpBB Tables
------------------
phpbb_thanks : thanks_id , thanks_from (user_id) , thanks_to (user_id) , post_id , thanks_time (similar to date in vb_post_thanks table)
phpbb_users : user_id , username , user_thanked , user_thanks , user_thanks_post
phpbb_posts : post_id , post_thanked

I think we have to use importpostid and importuserid from vB table to match with phpBB tables since the userid<>user_id and postid<>post_id are not same. And I tried to edit only in table vb_post_thanks but it shows the wrong thanks count.

I think running sql queries will do this but I'm not that expert in sql :(

Help me to do this. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mate.

Done it !! Worked perfectly.

Cheers!

Is there one like this that says "I Agree"? I am getting requests for this.

ET 7 02-12-2011 10:26 PM

how can i align the "thanked xx times in xx posts" to the left ?

Dave-M 02-13-2011 04:43 AM

Just updated to the latest VBSEO and they now have a "like" mod built in, and also a free importer script which worked first time.

Maybe if you have VBSEO and are struggling with this one, and don't want to pay for the other thanks mod, then it's worth a look. :)

Ok fixed the problem as said in another topic for line 10

Next problem: 1) upload the 'upload via ftp' folder

I uploaded the whole folder as said in install doc but now I get "you need to upload files to your server. The whole folder is uploaded!
