Sad situation, if he would only post here what's happend on his site would be a good sign. Maybe there is a security risk? Or maybe we should thank anthonyparsons for that....

Not good, he was giving great support on all his mods.

I dont mind the guy wanting to protect his work, seems only fair.

Lets not get too carried away just yet. The mod is still working fine & doing well on my forum. (hits increased 3X's)

The amount I made through Adsense already paid back the costs for purchasing the mod.

I had a couple vBet tables over the last week that I had to manually repair using PhpMyAdmin. They kept saying "in use".

I have a serious issue. For some reason in the last few days, all translated text in Private Messages are blank. I can't see anything. I can click and see the original text, but not the translated text.

Did you install any new mods or plugins? maybe conflict?
which version of vBET do you have? did you upgrade the vBET?

No, and I have been on 3.3.4 since it was released. It was working without any problems until like yesterday.

MAy be you are blocked by google or you have a server issue.

At this moment we didn't try to use vBET under LiteSpeed. It should work without any issue with links type with language parameter. But if you want to use it with SEO inks then there must be support for redirection rules.

No, you need to click the flag to get the translations.

It has such possibility - it is configurable. If you turn it on then vBET will automatically redirect to appropriate translation during first visit in session and according to language code send by browser in cookies.

I got same problem too...When I translate my forum into another language, my forum was blank.

Hi I have vBulletin 3.8.6 PL1 & vB Enterprise Translator 2.3.10 installed, and I have some issue with translating the registration page.
When someone go into the registration page by the translation feature (f.e. /en/register.php)and he accept the rules (by checking the confirmation checkbox) and click on the register button - from some reason, the input's page doesn't translated and if he translating this page by clicking one of the languages flags, he get this system message:
"You have chosen not to accept the forum rules, so registration cannot continue.

Click here to return to the main forums page, or click the 'Back' button on your browser if you now want to agree with the forum rules."

How can I resolve that issue?

I had to disable this mod and abandon it pretty much.

WIthin seconds, not minutes, or hours, SECONDS of activation the entire server crashed. I said, impossible for it to be the mod, must be the server slow.

Sure enough, this mod created so much strain on the dedicated server that I got an email, literally, 10 years of hosting websites, never got an email suggesting that I need to upgrade a server and I get 1500 unique and 10000 page views daily for months now. No problems until the second I install the mod. So im sitting there with a dead website, slower than anything, finally able to go to product manager, disable the VBET and get rid of those entries in my htaccess which also were directing me and my guests all over the place (instead of where they click).

I've been through this thread alot and are you sure about those HTACCESS entries, they seem to work and translate stuff, but when you click things in the ADMINCP it literally takes you to FORUMHOME.

Not mad or anything, you put a lot of work into it, it just reeked havoc on my website this morning. Website back to normal after disabling this.:eek::eek::eek:

Just as described in first post - you need CURL to use vBET. Without it there is no chance to work.

It wouldn't be great - it already is :) See option Redirect to user language.

At this moment you have option to show flags only for guests. So if you fallow by this option you can simply modify appropriate condition and hardcode there some other usergroups :)

Please note that free version do not support multilingual community and that it is why it works this way. This is expected behaviour for free version.

I cannot tell any specific explanation without possibility to go there and investigate. At this moment I can only speculate. It could be because of some .htaccess bug, or wrong vBSEO integration (if you have such) - what could cause looped redirections. Have no other clue. If you want to investigate this - please PM me. Also please note that free version takes more resources, so we have faster solutions.

Please try to install vBET again - upload all necesary files again and import product file again. I have no idea why it could work wrong here - please note that configuratio management is handled by vBulletin native code. So if it will still not work - please ask vB team for help.

Ive got the paid version of your script, and have had to create a custom flag list (my theme is highly customised).

The base language of my site is set to english, and on the template that I created I set the english flag to go to:

domain.com/

When a user is viewing the site in for instance, Spanish, that same link on the English flag goes to domain.com/es/

I NEED that flag to go to the site root. how do I achieve this please?
