That's a weird one. Not really a problem with Goldbrick but I'll see if I can fix it.

Just upload the file in the upload folder. Then import the product.xml file.

I'll do these ones and post how I did it so it will kind of give people an idea on how it works.

Chadi 12-21-2007 05:10 PM

Thanks for your help yesterday.

Would you happen to know how I can fix this issue I mentioned? I'll do the editing myself.

Goldbrick is also interferring with CES News hack
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showt...39#post1404839

Checked the ces news area on my site and getting this error after installing goldbrick

Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /home/user/public_html/includes/ces_news_functions.php(51) : eval()'d code on line 1

Thanks.

This the attached bbcode_create.php file.

Chadi 12-21-2007 06:51 PM

Thanks, where does it go? I don't remember what folder its in.

nix 12-21-2007 07:01 PM

goldbrick/plugins/

Chadi 12-21-2007 07:29 PM

Unfortunately it still conflicts with CES News

Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /home/user/public_html/goldbrick/plugins/postbit_attachment.php on line 10

nix 12-21-2007 07:51 PM

did you overwrite it? It's not really a goldbrick problem.

Chadi 12-21-2007 08:02 PM

Yes overwrite. I even deleted and re-uploaded fresh.

It must be GB problem somewhere unless I'm mistaken because CES works fine when GB is disabled.

I'll ask the creator anyway if he has a workaround.

snoop1979 12-21-2007 08:39 PM

i can't get goldbrick to work with attached mp3 files.
just to make sure this is like a new version of anymedia? so it should work by itself or needs anymedia to be installed?

Deadly Assassin 12-22-2007 04:10 PM

Do you need to install both lots of files?

The Anymedia and goldbrick?

If not, i have installed everything, but the M sign has not appeared in the posting box.
I have added the image to the default skin folder and my custom folder.

Do i have to add the BBcode in separately?

I am a bit confused, as i had not problem instaling this on a friends board before the goldbrick update.

Thanks.

:up:

nix 12-22-2007 04:47 PM

The anymedia mod is not needed. I just left it there if someone wants it.

The M button is no longer needed. Just past the link to the media and the Goldbrick will take over. If you need options you'll see Goldbrick Options under attachments.

I'm moving right now so after I'm done I'll right a how to for Goldbrick.

aftermath29 12-22-2007 11:33 PM

well thanks for the help how to do this [not]I still need how to put this in not upload all the files.I did but there are some foldes there that are not in with this type of board like the css folder.The image folder were in each style and what folder there.PLEASE give me some gelp with this

Well maybe it would have been better to complete the job before sticking on here because it's just completely cocked my site up and now all the forums have gone down.

I'll wait until somebody comes up with something better or do it myself once I've sorted my own site out.

:down:

(and by the way.......yes I know how to install it. My site is full of parse errors now)

well I did get that in lol you have to put it in through the admin that was the only way I got it to show.You have to go into the BB Code Manager then add it there but mine still will not show the player and I have no clue why.

aftermath29 12-23-2007 09:50 PM

well I took this all out since I cant get any real help with it.

I guess the part of me moving and not in town to help for a FREE MOD doesn't count. Now I see why people stop putting mods out.

I'm not sure how many times I have to say that THERE IS NO M BUTTON.

aftermath29 12-24-2007 05:07 AM

For a start I'm on php5, secondly I think asking for developers to wait until they have completed their project 100% including install instructions isn't really a bad request.

I know you all work hard etc etc, but it's no good saying "here you go thousands of people, a new program to try out" then not supplying correct lines of installment.

Bit like buying a car with no keys and having to hack the loom.

If you're having problems PM info to your forum and I'll take a look.

It's in beta stage so it's really up to the user to use it on a live site. I've got it installed a couple of sites with no issues. Most of the problems I've seen are other mods conflicting with Goldbrick. If you would like you can also PM and I'll take a look at your site.

Chadi 12-25-2007 04:40 AM

Found a small bug or conflict.

Screenshot, the "option" is a giant, black bold font type/size. GB is causing this as my web developer firefox addon shows it caused by this portion of the css

See other screenshot when GB is disabled.

Code:

legend (line 230)
{
font-family: Arial;
font-size: 11pt;
font-weight: bold;
color: Black;
}

How do I safely fix this without interfering with GB too?

Thanks nix

nix 12-25-2007 04:56 AM

just delete that line.

Chadi 12-25-2007 05:02 AM

You mean the entire portion?

legend (line 230)
{
font-family: Arial;
font-size: 11pt;
font-weight: bold;
color: Black;
}

What file is this in? I cannot find it in default.css under goldbrick directory

Chadi 12-25-2007 05:06 AM

I apologize, I found it in styles directory not css, gb.css

Thanks.

tackebong 12-26-2007 08:12 AM

So what is the problem?

its working fine for me now. im just using it for videos.. also are there any tutorials on how to add my own supported sites? i run a porn site.

nix 12-28-2007 01:56 AM

not sure what you mean. But you can increase the thumbnail size in the gb.css

akulion 12-28-2007 11:34 PM

hey is there a version available for php 4.4.7?
cos this wont work for me and I really need to replace the old broken any media player on my site :(

nix 12-28-2007 11:57 PM

No this is written using some of php 5 class features.

With the php developers dropping support for php 4, I personally see no reason to support it anymore.

ninjamaster 12-30-2007 04:28 PM
