Thanks

Ah, I've got it. vBSSO supports single sign-on out of the box so far and if you want to sync posts and other info - that should be a custom implementation on top of the vBSSO solution.

If you wait for a week, the new version of the vBSSO WordPress plugin comes out providing the login widget. So you would be able to put it into any section you want and keep using the single sign-on.

Hello
the VBSSO login box has a link to "Site Admin" (/wp-admin/)
is this safe? is it really needed...can it be removed?

i think the link to "profile" and "logout" link should be fine.

Thanks,

please read http://vbsso.com/platforms/

its not design for posting messages cross platform, its as it suggests a Single SignOn
lets say for example you have joomla and you log into your forum

it will then ensure you are logged into joomla

and if you wanted to include vbuletin posts in joomla you would download http://www.joomplace.com/bridges/vbu...est-posts.html

its pretty simple

Hi simonhind, that offered solution looks nice and provides an option to show vBulletin posts inside Joomla. Probably that's not what they are looking for, the mate was interested in posting messages to forum. If there is no any other solutions, it could be customly developer on top of the vBSSO solution. Thank you,

so your asking the developer to create a plugin / addon to allow posts from vbulletin to e.g. joomla ?

There have any requirement such as both platform must share the same database in other for the plugin work?

I use separate database for wordpress and VB and the plugin does not work!

Hi!

Installed vbulletin vbSSO and wordpress vbSSO and when trying to connect to Wordpress through vb-admincp I get the error message:
"Unable to verify platform [http://www.xxxxx.se/wpsz/wp-content/...sso/vbsso.php] Please analyze log files located at `/home/html/www.xxxxx.se/public_html/vb/vbsso/logs/` to detect the cause of the issue."

The log file says "Communication: Platform returned http status code: 0"
and when I browse to the url above I get Internal Server Error.

Any ideas how to solve this issue?

Regards
Chris

Some of the users had the similar issue when their firewall blocked the requests. Please verify it or additionally enable DEBUGGING Logging Level in vBSSO and see what the logs say.
