Not sure what you mean. If you want a landing page instead of the list of all articles, that is only a feature of the full version: wiki index page, wiki forum cover pages.

strange it just disappeared for a while I know I saw it at first last night then it disappeared...then I got on this morning and it was there again lol

also you have a image something like wiki.new.new-48.png that is not working for me yet I have it in the icon folder in the correct path?
unless thats in incorrect name of the image?

After installing this, it screwed with all my styles. For some reason, the navbar is now different. I'm also for some reason having major cache issues. Can't seem to edit my own profile and save. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times now. Can't figure this out. They seem responsive on their forums but I'm pretty desperate in finding an answer to this. Was looking forward to using this but it does seem to have several small issues. Also the buttons for the editor do not work at all for me.

Other users might be wondering about this so here's what went on with this:

skylab's more pressing issues were not due to installing VaultWiki, but due to two different issues that were not noticed until installing VaultWiki.

skylab had updated to vBulletin 4.1.11 unaware that a number of stylevars he was using in a style customized prior to 4.1.10 had been removed in 4.1.10.

skylab's server had future expires headers set for HTML content, so updates to most pages on vBulletin were made but unnoticed until the headers expired.

The only remaining issue at this time is that the wiki-related editor buttons are not appearing.

Just wanted to update that they've been very helpful and super responsive.

Not sure what happened with the styles but I'm taking care of that on my end.

The future expire headers was due to the parent directory having it and it wasn't set to off for my forums folder. It also meant that changes were not saved and editing entries kept telling me that another person was editing. For anyone else having this issue, check your expire headers.

I'm working on the editor buttons now but with my track record, it's probably another issue that I missed or caused.

Anyway -- definitely a 5 star.

It would be nice to have a template for when you create a new wiki post

right now you just start off with a blank page that you manually have to edit to make look like a wiki page

here is a simple example

This example describes codes to use inside wiki article. You could make post templates, but I'm not sure if they will work with VaultWiki.

Post templates are mod from DByte Tech: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=277323

Nevermind.

thincom2000 04-04-2012 06:31 AM

The full version of VaultWiki has its own Template feature, but they are not as easy to use as the DB Tech mod. I'm also not sure if that mod works with VaultWiki either. Looking at the tracker for VaultWiki, templates should be easier to use in the upcoming version.
