Because people have donated and because he has a "premium modification" forum setup, which is supposed to provide support to it's users.
If he shouldn't/can't do it, then it should be removed.

I would hate to be in his position, having 1k emails and IM's everytime he signs on. Asking about what happend to vBPlaza.

As far as support if he did make a complete fix and him himself released the thread on vB.org he wouldn't have time to support the thread. It will have over 1k posts within a week.

again? The fixed one had an exploit? Damn this is ridiculous. Can't somebody else make this mod? I'd gladly pay somebody to make it since the original coder is clearly out of pocket (permanently)
