Is there a way to disallow moderators from using the thread removal tool?
My mods keep erasing genuine members with it by accident and it's clearing some decent old threads that we have. I'm trying to find configuration permissions to stop this but can't. It appears all admins, mods and supermods just get permissions full stop? Perhaps I'm missing something? |

Anyone know if there is an easy way to BOLD the "Moderated" prefix on threads that are put into the moderation que? This way i can see the threads that need moderation a little easier on the forum instead of going into the admincp.

I was wondering of someone could help me....... I only have ONE plugin installed on a fresh install of a forum running 4.1.x and after I installed glow host, I get the following error message when I try to update or change settings on a user group. I.e change admin's avatar size etc. When I hit save, I get this message: ( BTW - I used the tools.php and try everything.....not sure its glowhost.....) Please advise or help if you can :) That would be super awesome PHP Code:

Great mod. However, a few people I know who have filled in things correctly have been blocked from registering. Can't understand how or why but i've gone through the settings and can't work out what is going on.
Some use hotmail.co.uk e-mail addresses but aren't on any spam list. Would be strange if they were ;) |

However, Having really serious trouble on my board. Since last month 1000s of post everyday is being generated and even after submission that ip, I can not get rid of those ip address. Specific ip from china 222.186.24.25 and dont know how that ip got registered more than 300 users and I can not delete it due to few other ip is doing same with me. Today to get rid of that, I've choose small business license from Akismet and reported them about my current problem. Spam o matic
Hi I think i have installed 'spam o matic' correctly via ftp The question is that i know i have to go to admin/plugins/download and uploads I see the .xml section but thats about where my knowledge finishes and i really need to go the next to get rid of so much spam How do i finish off the installation of the files to get this up and running ?? well i did find my way to manage
now on friday i tried an ftp which was for class_core.php version_vbulletin.php now should i be able to upload this from my hosting company ? as i actually don't know how ?? At this point this is as far as i have made it , i am a little unsure of following what seems obvious install from browsing ........ last time tried this i was told it had to be via ftp , so at this point i did the ftp but do not know how to go beyond thanks for help so far |

i did find a file titled
cpnav_glowhostspamomatic.xml on my computer but when i tried to import it , the notice was 'invalid file type' now i am really confused becasue of limited knowledge and skills i thought i was there for a second on friday when i tried my first ftp somehow all the folders in the 'download folder' on my computer changed to word document display and i had to install 7zip to be to extract the files and drag them over to filezilla, cant help but think perhaps this has complicated matters somewhat pity because i was on the way |
Download the zip again and you will find a file in it that is called product-glowhostspamomatic.xml i know this for sure as i just did it ;-)
that file you need to upload, if you want some help send me a private message, and i will guide you, if like, i also can send a step by step how to if wanted, not that hard i think |

above is the link that i was given ........ i still cannot see the file you are refering to ?? am i going blind ?? the only xml file i can currently find is cpnav_glowhostspamomatic.xml after the download and extraction of the files to my computers there are two sub folders called 'admincp' and 'includes' thanks all for help so far |

if you are saying that the file highlighted has come from the folder 'upload' the download i have done a number of time does not have this ?
there are two subfolders/ admincp+includes/ when i open 'includes' there is a file called 'functions_ghsom.php' and another sub folder titled 'xml' when i open the 'xml' file the only file there is called 'cpnav_glowhostspamomatic.xml So i am not going blind but this does not fix my current dilemma ?? ok the situation was that when i extracted the files from the zip folder the required file does not extract , i have since opened the zip and discovered ther required file is actually there and that for reasons unknown does not extract ??
Long story short once i found it i moved it the downloads folder on my computer where i could access it for the 'import' So yes i have installed and can see it on the products list in my vbulletin admin !! ............Yippppeeeeeee What's next ?? |
I need help it always works I have not yet gasagt as SIIE have the plug. xml file change made because I could instalation but then came the database error on my site. The plugins I've turned component, we tried it and the instalation was still the problem. In the plugin are not the problem.

can vbulletin settings I have found the administration of them are spam that does not work. It is disabled.

It's quite annoying to think of what i went through to install this only to have the same message as above There is a good chance it may be an easy fix but when you are just starting out many things so escalate into 'extremely hard' So we need some help here ........please |

Great plugin! The only issue is that it causes the registration process to break when the StopForumSpam API goes down. Would it be possible for you to wrap the API checks in conditionals and allow the registration to proceed when it's unavailable?

In that case, I'd like to report this as a bug. We have QueryConnection Errors set to "Allow Registration". When the API last went down (timing out due to overloading), the registration was not allowed through.

You can check your log and see what it says next to the user who had the problem. I haven't heard about this problem on any other boards yet and my logs show them passing when it times out.
