how do i fix this issue, extra tabs are showing up labeled 0 1 etc and i do not have any of them enabled, all i set up is the gallery tab.

Mystery - When I have a tab that is "selected" my navbar is blank, it is there in source code but does not display. If I disable the Tabs system its there! Ive spent an entire day trying to track this one down

I changeg to display:inline in additioanl css so its there all the time now but this should not act this way.

When I installed that on 4.1.12, The CSS of the page broken, any reasons ?

Same problem here. 205 version kills the CSS, 204a version kills the CSS, 203 version works, but won't remove the Blog or What's New buttons.

Anyone know how I can change the color of just one navbar tab for this mod?

Using the stylevars changes every tab, so that won't work.
What template do I use and exactly how would I do it so as not to change them all?

I want to change the color of a tab I added to the menu.

4.2.0 has its own navigation manager, you might was well use it.

Yeah, the vb 4.2 have their own TAB MANAGER.

I didn't even know about that addition. I was able to uninstall the hack and use the native tab manager.

vB 4.2.0 installed but cant get rid of the control panel in admincp. Unistalled and removed all files.

Delete the Files:
/includes/xml/cpnav_evbs_sstab.xml

after that (if still showing) rebuild the bitfield

And as I play with it on my test platform, to put it nicely, IT ROYALLY SUCKS.

That said, will this mod continue to work in 4.2 or should I take the above tab disappearance as reported as a no?

In any event, thanks for the work on this mod, I have enjoyed using it; it's far superior to what vBulletin is offering.

For giggles I tried installing this on my 4.2 test platform. It appears to install properly, the basic settings show under options, but the Tabs VbSoporte menu for editing tabs doesn't show up. I double checked to ensure I uploaded files in correct folders and I did. Ugh.

EDIT: I should have triple checked. I had one file in the wrong place (/includes vs /includes/xml). Menu IS now showing up. I'll report back with findings.

And finally, it seems to be working just fine in 4.2. Provided that some further testing is successful I'll definitely be continuing to use this mod going forward.

Maybe it's because your header templete still in vb 4.1.12 version, I don't see 4.2 header template but I', sure that now have many conditional or diferent code for their own tab manager

No, the tab cannot be made a link if it has dropdown menu items. I just tried it to make sure and it wouldn't let me.

This mod isn't removing the blogs or what's new tabs when I select the 'hide blogs tab' and 'hide whats new tab' options....

Are you using vB4.2? If so, then you can go to your adminCP and click on "Settings" and then "Navigation Manager" and then uncheck the active boxes of what you do not want to show. If you aren't using vB4.2 then you will need to edit the templates, I believe. But I wouldn't know how to tell how to do that. Sorry. I hope you get it figured out.

Step 1:

Click on "Menu Tabs" > "Add New Tab" > Then fill out the info:

Tab Label: Inside Games (Or whatever you want the tab to say)
Please enter the varname of the phrase. If it doesn't exists, then the title will be used: Leave blank
This Tab is a Menu? Yes

Then leave everything else as is unless you want it changed and then save.

Then you will see it like this:

To make the links you click on "Drop Down Items" on the left > Then fill out the info:

Parent Tab: This will be "Inside Games" or whatever you want to make the drop down menu

Menu Text: The name you want to link to be

Then leave everything else as is unless you want it changed and then save. You will do this second step every time you want to add a link to the drop down menu.

Ive used this mod but since 4.2 has Menu TAB Manager build in this mod isn't really a necessity. 4.2 seemed to brake certain functionality of this mod, hopefully author will update it..

it seems to me that never somebody mententioned that urls bigger then 200 characters will be cropped.

this is like I fixed this problem using phpmyadmin:
ALTER TABLE `evbs_sstabs` CHANGE `url` `url` VARCHAR( 2083 ) CHARACTER SET latin1 COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci NOT NULL
ALTER TABLE `evbs_sstabs_childs` CHANGE `url` `url` VARCHAR( 2083 ) CHARACTER SET latin1 COLLATE latin1_swedish_ci NOT NULL

beside this small bug its a great addon...

What kind of functionality? I tested it locally and it seams to be ok. Nevertheless I'd be grateful if you share the breaking points. I still want to use this mod due to its drop down tabs.

I upgraded to vb4.2 and reverted my navbar. I also uninstalled your product and deleted the files.

But one of my tabs is still there. I mean, it is doubled, and there is only one at the new navigation manager.

Do you know what can I do?

Hey, Go to Styles ---> Edit Template --> navbar

/* copy the current code(for backup purpose) */

Now Revert the navbar template.

Then add new tabs via Navigation Manager :)
