I'm currently using 1.13 which is working well for me. I like the option to email the reports of who was sent an email and any invalid addresses. Could you inlcude that option in the next update?

Ummm.. the last I checked, this forum is for 3.6 Mods and add-ons.. this is NOT 3.7!!!! I tried to update your lastest version and it states the product is for 3.7 and not compatible to 3.6... I am running 3.6 and refuse to upgrade... PLEASE move this mod to 3.7 and kill it here... or support the 3.6....

This may sound silly, but how do you make it run? :confused::o I want to send out my first lot of reminder emails now but don't know how to initiate the process lol. Otherwise, is there a set time when it runs automatically (each day for example)?

  1. Go to Admin CP | Scheduled Tasks | Scheduled Task Manager
  2. Scroll down to find Inactive User Reminder Emails
  3. Edit to set when you want the cron job to execute
  4. Click on Run Now to execute the task im mediately

Firstly - You've not even clicked install so you get ZERO support on any of the modification. Secondly there is no need for the attitude - I will quite happily move this to another section. It didn't even occur to me that the sections had been split up.

Which version are you using? if it's 1.2 (designed for 3.7.2) then it runs continuously - you just have to enable it in it's option grop (see the screenshot as to were to find that).

currently there is basic information about the users that have been contacted. this can be found in admincp/remindermail.php (or use the link under the "Users" section in the admin CP [see attached pictures])

I have just added this mod and can not find this task in the Scheduled Task Manager. Should it appear right away?

I just upgraded to 1.2 and I have to say that 14 extra queries on each page is rather unacceptable.

It only has the higher amount of queries when it finds inactive users. after a short while it will reduce as there will be less inactive users to contact. also if you disable the logging features it will reduce queries further, as will reducing the amount of users the mod processes.

Ah, I see. I'll leave it on and see how things go.
Another thing I noticed: I get a Database Error when I view Who's Online with 1.2 enabled

This one is baffling me. it doesn't happen on mine so it's difficult to figure out what is causing it. do you have any other plugin that effects the WOL page?

I have a Custom WOL Locations product installed but that's it.

Additionally, The problem seems to have gone away after Email Reminder finished processing users & sending out emails.

it should do, but i cant say for sure.. the previous versions worked with 3.6.8, and 1.2 works with 3.7.2.

I got a "Database Error" too when I upgraded to 1.21. I'll try to reupload the files becuase I'm locked out of even my admincp now. Anyone else?

there was a bug and a half in 1.2.1 - i've hopefully erased that now. you need to go into phpMyAdmin and locate the "datastore" table and delete the row "pluginlist" and that will unlock the site. Go back into admin CP and remove the plugin.

I'm getting the same bug, and I have lost my ability to get into ADMINCP. :confused: Any advice?

Ok, deleted the row and it came back.

Yeah, bugs suck ... but all software has them from Microsoft down to vb plugins. No long term harm, but I don't have to to any aerobics for a month. Great product, it's been very benefitial to helping grow my community.


** Update, now MYSQL is reporting that Datastore has been corrupted and needs to be repaired. **

Ended up having to rebuild the Datastore table and then going back in and deleting the lines again. Then logged in quickly and uninstalled the product and it's working fine and got it all back up.

Like 2 months someone made a hack for the same purpose and ranted over your hack but I kept yours because I was happy with it...

Now that you upgrade, looks good and professional, I've not regret been waited for so long...
Seems to work like a charm!

I have upgraded my board to 3.7.2 patch 1.

Some members asked me to delete there account. I did that but they still receive the emails.
What can be the problem?

I hope we are now 100% bug free!

In regards to deleted members:

If a member has been fully deleted from the databasr then it is impossible for the plugin to contact them unless there is already a mail in the mail queue waiting to go.

if however you are just moving the user to a different usergroup then you need to make sure that the usergroup is not in the list to be monitored.

I'm checking out the Report for Inactive Users and it doesn't seem to be showing unique users at all. A bunch of userid/usernames are repeated lots of times. Is that a bug?
