Yes it does. I do it all the time. You must ensure you have all the Instance permissions set up properly.

This is weird... I installed it and followed setup instructions, and it doesn't seem to be showing up anywhere.

Is there extra install instructions that I'm missing?

this is what i have i know there is some things missing as i cant edit members chat at all

Double click on the members shout and then edit as needed, hit enter.:)

double clicking does let me delete but that is the only option i have enter key does nothing for me

Permissions were set by default. The problem was I was looking at my vBadvanced page and the rest of the pages were fine. I fixed this be deploying it under the navbar rather than "automatically deploying".

However, I did have another issue with alignment/placement.

Did you have the cursor in the edit box BEFORE hitting enter? I had the same problem, but had to have the cursor in the edit bxo before it registered that I was hitting enter.

once i double click it the text goes into the text box and a delete botton comes up or i can change the text in the box and then hit enter so is that is all i can do with this free version?

You may have the IE7 Compatibility Header setting turned on for your forum. Please disable it and try again.

Hi, Can you please tell me why I get this error. When I installed the shoutbox on my vBulletin 4.0.6 forum I got the shoutbox working but it said "Loading..." When I type something in and enter it It wont show up.. However when I view the archive I can see my messages I entered.. I installed the older version because thats the only one that works so I dont have an exact image. But here is one image that has the same issue...

However.... it still shows this way in IE7. Any reason? Frankly, I'm fine with it looking normal in IE8 and IE9, but just wanted to know if IE7 is too old for anyone to care? (Its too old for me to care :) )

Make sure that your files are all uploaded to the right location, then reinstall the XML file, overwriting the existing one and see if that helps?

Yeah we're unfortunately unable to support IE7 for this reason.

The issue with how it is broken in IE is the same issue I am seeing now that I upgraded from 4.1.2 to 4.1.4 vBulletin.

It's not a supported feature in any version currently.

Add yourself as Super Administrator.

Please update to the latest version of vBShout. Please also remember to read the upgrade notes TXT file.

noticed a small bug. I login as normal type something in the box then it says active users 1. Log out come back hours later and it still says to guests that I am still active. It needs to remove the user from the active list once they log out
next bug Enable Active Users Block turning this on it gives you the option to report shout inside the block this bring back a error "Invalid Shout ID Specified" this needs removed from there as it cant be used

same for the active tab at the top beside shoutbox

If you use a guest caching mod like vB Optimise then that would be why.

on the full version I see on your site you have the text box where you type at the bottom can we change that to where we want in the pro version

hmm, everything seems to be working, however when I select (let's say) red to post in, and then type what I want but then hit enter to shout, it turns back to black.

just paid for the full version life time one name is force on your forums. One question where are the quiz's cant seem to find the links

Yeah, you can change shout area location in the Pro version :)

I've been unable to confirm this issue on any of my testing environments (4.1.4 or 4.1.3).

I use the shoutbox and am far too happy.
I miss things only 2.
1) a button for "url" bbcode
2) a button for "img" bbcode

can I install this without problems or will there be an update since.?
The buttons should pose no problem installing yes.
I just need to know what goes where.
