I have created a user id with facebook account.
When I try to do it again with friend's id, irrespective of different mail id and password,
it is logging in with previous user name.

Quick relply was not working anymore, same problems as other users...

I currently have 13 users who log into my forums with this mod and they have no issues using my forums at all, neither do the normal users. I even utilize 3 of the facebook accounts and can log in with one then log out and ligin with another with no issues.

The probles are caused by the optional templates edits needed for the news-feeds to work.
Do you use this part also?

Installed, and promptly uninstalled when I discovered it didn't map birthdates.

Is there any way to stop underage people from joining?

I had this working over the last couple of days at http://www.fxfred.com and now the button loads and does nothing.

I have checked the facebook application itself and that is still there and has 4 users.

Why would it just stop?

I have just re-checked and it is working on every page EXCEPT the main page...now I am really lost any ideas would be appreciated

I am getting the same error but only on the main page e.g. if you go to http://www.fxfred.com/faq.php and try it from there, it works fine

Ok so i will ask again because i asked a few months ago and my question got skipped. I have this mod and it's awesome but i cant seem to get it to work on my front page which is vBA CMPS (VB Advanced content manager) can anyone help me out with this?

To all those with the issue of the button not working on the first page only

I removed my facebook fans box and it works fine now.

I have checked some of your sites and you have the same so remove the fans code and see if that works.

What I need to know is how do we add the fans code back to the template without it knocking out the Facebook connect ability?

It just worked for me when I tried, perhaps you have a script blocker or something interfering with the pop-up?

I have installed and think its great, it pulls their profile picture, location and all sorts it doesnt half help a new member saves them so much time filling out profiles as we dont all like to spend ages doing that.....and the ability to show the threads etc on their wall is fab it has really brought my forums to life!

First off i'd like to indicate that i hate IE with a passion.

But anyways... i have a template issue with facebook connect being in my login box. If you look on my website using IE you'll see that it f***s with the login box and offsets the corners etc... but if you look at my website using firefox or any other f***ing browser it looks fine! You will need to Iframe the fan box for it to work alongside Facebook Connect. Check the Facebook Dev wiki on how to do this

Okay, I went ahead and installed it, it works perfectly, but I'm baffled by one thing:

Part of my testing it was to log in with my forum username. Now I can't login under any other name but THAT one. I can't test logging in with my FB name because it auto logs me in with my forum name now.

I cleared my cache/cookies/history, and still the same. This happens in IE8 and Firefox 3.5.5. How do I fix this?

Ok figured it out.....Replaced the fblogin.php file from the 2.0.6 version.

It's actually in the Upgrade directions when you download the 2.0.6. ...my bad!

I had the older file still on the server from the 2.0.5 version.

Now let's test it out...............thanks for this mod!:up:

- An already registered member uses the facebook connect, they now have 2 different accounts! = the original registration, and the new nickname one they just created through facebook connect! Is there a way to keep the members that already have an account on my forum who use the facebook connect, from creating a second username? Or is the only option to merge the usernames, and if the usernames are merged into one, will the same user be able to login through facebook connect without having to create another new nickname?

Yeah I installed that and all it does is show who has their account linked, there are no options to add facebook info to an existing vbulletin account. :(

You can use it to get their name that they use on facebook, search that name on facebook and then look at their information page on facebook, scroll down and see their email.

Edit that users email in VB before you approve them by deleting the long email address that facebook gives you. Then they will receive the welcome email and you can send them emails! :up:
