If you add nothing else could you include a way to store images in the filesystem please? I hate the fact that the images live in the database and this rules this mod out for me. When you have hundreds of items all using a few images each then you will be cringing at the size of your database. File system space is far cheaper than database space generally and I personally think the file system is the most correct place to store files and images.

Noticed the other day that you say you are working on a new version. Will this be 3.7 compatable? Would love to add it to the latest VB.

Also, i dont know if this already exists, but how about the option where you can have an unlimited time posted. Therefore this would mean that people can use it as a "classifieds" site and advertise something as a buy it now without a time limit to the auction...

seems to work perfectly on my 3.7.0. The "add Vbay to your nav bar" seems to screw up on a couple of the styles i have, however to be honest thats to be expected, but on the important bit, like "does it work" is definately a yes :)

I know, Being an IT person myself it's a silly question, and possibly unanswerable, however Blaine - any ideas when the new version is timetabled for release at all?

I have a heavily modded forum and the shop has been a very nice addition. People are buying stuff daily but we've developed some bugs.

Rather than me pull the code apart and fix the issues I thought I would offer to work with you on this and offer my site as a testing ground for the new version.

Actually, folks need to quit asking that question here... there is several of the same question... This is 3.6 support, not 3.7. I am sure Blaine will tranport it over to 3.7 if there is support for it...

I have the Vbay set to that only certain usegroup can post auctions...however all my usergroups can anyways, spite the setting.......what is wrong with this?

Uninstalled because there iis a major lack of communication. I dont have time to wait for someone who can not support a mod......Bad Hack in my opinion because of the communication level.

give him a little time. The more he replies to us, the less time he has to do the coding.. And for those who want to know, it works fine on my version of 3.7.

Has the ability to add pictures been resolved yet? I just uploaded this to my test vb and there's nothing where there normally is to add pictures like my members can in posts.

If I missed the info elsewhere I apologize but I did try search and all I could find is that it was coming out soon and that was quite a while ago now.

Hi, there may be an easier way (I'm still learning this stuff) but I found it this way:
Languages & phrases > Search phrases > Search for: vbay_main
FWIW I checked "Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name".. you can edit the words to what you want from there. :)

ok, seems noone is working on this so I will try and fix some bugs as we go and release them back to this thread slowly as we go.

If anyone has the issue of item counts with categories being wrong then please use the attached vbay.php -> upload and replace.

What can be done to integrate the Itrader percent points behind the seller name ?
I have tried to add the code from showing the itrader points in profile but it doesn't works.

I know this question has been asked for many times but i couldn't find any answer. So, is it possible to add the percent points from itrader ? Any Idea ???

Sledgehammer.... it may be possible to do this. You want the itrader values to be visible next to the seller name on the item, right?

Ace!! The counts will still be off in the admin section but at least the front end is working so far.

I have fixed the image uploading issues and also added the ability to use decimals when setting prices for buyitnow and shipping values. Also removed several unnessesary queries from vbay.php

Expect an update soon.

I have been in contact with blaine and he is extremely stretched. He barely has time to finish his paid work let alone this mod, but he is still working on it and has supplied me with a test url to see how it's going.

For all those who have said this mod support is abandoned then you are not totally right.... it's more paused.

I dont mind stepping up and supporting this mod as best I can whilst we wait for the other version and blaine has no problems with that.
