their is no way to just embed a youtube player? i wouldn't mind doing that, rather than using up my own bandwidth.

Masala4india 06-30-2006 02:12 PM

guys will it work on vBulletin Version 3.6.0 Beta 3?

utw-Mephisto 06-30-2006 02:20 PM

you could choose youtube player instead of the anymedia player.
refer to the anymedia setting group in admincp.

however,
anymedia have to fetch the real url to the video,
it may cause dead loads if you post too many videos from youtube.

this what i meant

:)

Thanks, that did the trick.

Are more companies blocking IP's as people use their streams while removing the embedded code?

kall 07-02-2006 09:49 AM

If a Usergroup is denied access, should they still see the link?

Any way to hide that?

youtube may ban your ip if you 'steal' too many videoes from it.

and google already banned the IPs from some location such as China. :(

1.can not play rm file? what explorer are you using?

2.you have to make the template modifications to show the M icon.
refer to the install.htm

Keep in mnd that all files ARE on my server. Also I have added a :[vid] tag which DOES play them fine.Problem is that it isn't as good looking as yours...lol.

This would be a great addon for the Profile...

You don't want it on your sig anyway, as you'd have AnyMedia on every post!! :surprised: :paranoid:

Everything goes into your "forums" folder. Place the "players" folder and the "anymedia.php" directly inside the "forums" folder and upload the rest of the files to the folders with the same name located within the "forums" folder.

futuredood 07-04-2006 03:49 PM

Hey Crist,

Can you include in your first post what future updates you plan to include in the next version? Reason is, I want to request a fix so that

1) people can't post the code twice in the same page
2) it doesn't play in peoples' signatures
3) it doesn't play in certain areas such as the journal, photopost

Basically, the problem with the player is that people may post multiple instances of videos and the forum goes haywire unless you leave autoplay off.

calgdsm 07-06-2006 12:19 AM

last thing, does the site visitors have to know the bb code to upload or do they use the manage attachments button??

SnitchSeeker 07-07-2006 07:12 AM

This looks AWESOME!

Does it support permissions? Meaning we can set it so only admins, mods, whatever can use the tag?
