I am going to start creating other pages now and its a little tricky trying to figure out how. I created a template titled "index_project_evo" and left the template completely blank. I went to the URL just to make sure it worked and this is what showed up...

Well thats kind of what I wanted and kind of not. I wanted to keep the vB navbar on the tob and the headers, footers and even the recent post column and what not. I didnt however want the Custom Templates there because that is where I wanted to put my content for this page. Can anyone tell me if there is a easy way to get around this?

Thanks alot!
Chris

Come on no one can tell me how to do this? Please?

I'm trying to upgrade, but I get the following error on step one. What do I do?

Database error in vBulletin 3.0.0 Release Candidate 2:

Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO setting (varname, grouptitle, value, defaultvalue, optioncode, displayorder, advanced, volatile) VALUES ('home_navbar', 'vbadv_index', '1', '1', 'yesno', '33', '0', '0')
mysql error: Duplicate entry 'home_navbar' for key 1

mysql error number: 1062

I ended up making an extra index.php renamed to nav.. and change the templates around to use a secondary template set.. so that I can place my code anywhere I want.

Tigga made a goodjob with vbadvanced.. I just modded the hell out of it.. basicly its a diffrent type of vbadvanced ;)

almost as close as phpportals.

did you login to the ACP and change any of the vBoptions?

QUESTION GUYS!

I installed the script without a problem. But there is no portal when people go to my website. Why is this? Do I have to set the domain to a certain link?

Where is the portal located?

Zachery 01-18-2004 11:39 PM

did you read the install file?

mbanje 01-19-2004 05:44 AM

I have read the install file and followed it to the letter and all has installed okay. I even mnaged to install the Arcade which is more complicated than the Vbadvanced homepage. I just cannot seem to get the side blocks to appear. I purchased 2 licences and when installing Vbulletin myself there were 13 steps. My colleague installed the same version and there were 42 steps. I am totally confused. The Vbulletin forum is working ok. Help, please.
