I'm using firefox 3.5.2.

I tried logging into your forum and even made a post. It worked perfectly, maybe it's something with my set up.

I'll have to give this another shot.

How do I get this to work with vbadvanced? P.S. I have vbadvance installed in the same folder as my forum...

Hey, IB!!! Are you listening?
Come on people, this is pretty pathetic here. Are you going to provide support for this and fix the product, or is it going to be, like your blogs, an experiment that you just toss out because you don't want to deal with it any more?

For a month now, you haven't updated your product, despite well known issues. This is just flat out embarassing not just to you, but to those of us that actually install this, and recommend your products and services. Wake up!!! Start providing support and updates here!!!

Here's another one of those fine bugs that are a result of pathetic coding:
When using this product and vBseo, if you try to login on ANY page that is not the forum home page, you can't. Why? Because someone forgot to check and make sure that the product url is anchored to the forum url. Rookie mistake!

So when do you plan on fixing these horrific bugs here? Or are you planning on just leaving people high and dry like your usual IB self for months on end?

The team of 2 people that created this product and shared it with the community is still deploying this product on our sites; we didn't have the problem with vbseo as described. We've had a major problem with IE6 compatibility for which we've issued a fix.

From the very inception of the product, we've stated that this product is not developed by the core vBulletin team, but that this is rather a good-will community product offering from a team that manages the automotive sites at IB, nothing more - nothing less.

We've also clearly stated that this particular release is BETA, bugs are to be expected. The two people supporting this product are planning on supporting it - meaning that we will release it onto our own sites, field user reported errors and bug reporting in this thread and release a follow-up upgrade. Furthermore, we will do our best to keep up with vBulletin updates to bring this product up to 4.0.

Riiiight, support means you'll just provide support on your own sites. That's pathetic at best. This is NOT a supported mod, hell, it's not even an updated mod here. Get with the program!

Ignoring bug reports, not acting on them, not fixing them is unacceptable. People do your work for you, and you just sit back and do nothing. If you want to run a beta mod, you must provide support (full support) wherever you release the mod, and you must update releases, not sit back and ignore bugs. This is just common sense here!

Modification changed to unsupported in lieu of definition of the term. We intent on supporting the product with major upgrades and releases; currently we do not provide immediate response to bug reports; however, bugs will be prioritized and resolved in the aforementioned releases.

Are there any plans to provide updates for the current release and current version of vBulletin or is the majority of the work being focused on a version for vB 4.0? I am not sure about anybody else but my transition to 4.0 will be slow at best so support being focused on that release does me no good for the immediate future.

I think a lot of the frustration is in that several people have offered good solutions to many of the bugs, solutions that would only take a copy/paste to implement, and they seem to be ignored. That may be an incorrect assessment but it is the perception of the situation as I, and I think many others, see it.

it's kind of a pain though, with users having to sign in every time using the facebook/google image. When I was first testing it out, I registered via facebook and when I was trying to login via the login boxes on the forums it wouldnt work, until I realized I had to login with the images... I assume guests might make this mistake too. Would it be possible for you to allow the user to set a password when they are setting their username.

If we can carve out some time next week we are planning on addressing some issues and providing an update.

Because people like the fact they can JOIN the site using their facebook account, but don't want to use it every time they login to the site!
