Those are irc style usergroup icons. They show who has power in the chat such as admins mods and supermods.

@ = admins
% = supermods
+ = mods

Awesome, and thanks for making a lite version for 3.0! You seemed to have ironed out all of the bugs and intergrated most ideas/requests by the members.

v3 is a world above v2.9.x. :)

You should see blazing fast speeds compared to before.
