Change this to the ID of the user you want. |
So basically this thing will wait until the do it and then send a PM or does it have a cron that goes back for anytime someone has posted using an alternate?
Great mod, I can really use this on my site. |

I've had a notification PM from a member who I didn't nominate in the Control Panel.
I put in my Usergroup ID (6) and I get the notification from some random member. What's causing this and how do I fix? :) |
I am not sure this is working, I have it all installed (very easy) with the settings under the options set up but it is not reporting anything.
I have it set to not exclude anyone and I know my wife logs on with the same computer I do under a different member name. Shouldn't it be catching this? That was going to be my test for it. |

Thanks man--I have the two "ignore" fields blank. Because I want it to do everyone for now.
Told it I wanted it to send PM's Have my UserID in the field under that and my user name in the next one. I am assuming that means it will be from me to me which is what I am looking for to test it. Really appreciate the help though |
Just a thought, specifically for towermatt
If 2 people share the same computer but login to that computer using a different profile the cookie detection will not catch it. This is correct becuase the cookie will be stored in different internet caches. If 2 people share the same machine login (or there isn't a login at all) then both users must be using the same physical browser for cookie detection to work. If both people use the same login and the same browser, are the cookies set to be cleared between sessions. If so, the cookie for the detector will not exist and therefore will not catch it. Hopefully I have all that correct. To test this addon you need to make sure that cookie itself is active in the browser when you login using different id's. That's the way I tested it, and it works perfectly. HTH  |
I'm going to have to look into how to make those cookies active.
Thanks for the help Tiger |
