That's an interesting suggestion.

I add it to the feature requests list.

Hey VB... I think the readme should be updated for that loading issue. I have an idea of what can be put there if they have the loading issue ontop of what's already there. Unless that YUI will elimanate this?

vb 3.8.1 and chatbox version 1.1.0

Very strange mine is also appearing horizontal for some reason and it was appearing vertical...I am at a loss as to what happened.

Anybody have any ideas????

Ranger187 11-13-2008 04:47 PM

That's templates. Chats are always up/down, not left/right hence "vertical". If you want it to a side, you would have to modify the templates.

I want it vertical....

The strange thing is, is that all I did was edit the .vbmenu_control font color on a new style and when I went to look at the color I noticed the chats were going horizontal instead of vertical. I checked the default style and it is the same way....I am at a lose here.

I uninstalled and re-installed the chat product for the hell of it and that had no effect....any ideas.

I submitted a screen shot...

My opinion: Horizontal is gay, and hard to read. That will only cause major confusion.

I think you mean vertical "up/down" which is the standard. Your screen shot shows horizontal.

Revert the changes you made outside any files that were included with the chat, then reinstall.

Yeah I miss typed, I edited my post...thanks

I made no changes to any of the chat files....

Ranger187 11-13-2008 05:33 PM

Nah bro, I said revert the changes you made outside of the chat. Meaning to the VBulletin files themself that were not part of the files in the zip. You edited some CSS style or something. Revert the templates. See if the default template (this is why it's good to never touch that one or delete it. ;) ) shows it working fine. If it does, then it's the templates.

I never touch the default style, that is the first thing I checked and it is doing the same thing....I included a screen shot of the default style

All I changed was the .vbmenu_control of a new style which I did put back but shouldn't matter anyway. The only templates I edited in the style were the header and footer and that was yesterday but that shouldn't cause this anyway...

Thanks for ideas...keep them coming...

Edit:
I have an update...I have been using Firefox so I tried it in IE and have found that with IE the chats do not display at all..the second screen shot is IE.
