We're unable to give approximated dates for upcoming versions due to our schedules being something that changes on a week-by-week basis, sorry :(

Please note that the buttons will not show up for your own posts, only posts made by other users.

If you don't see that AdminCP group, please add yourself to Super Administrators via config.php

I'm having the same issue - can see "Thanks/Like" stats in user info area, but no buttons to give thanks or likes. And in my adminCP I do not have the DBTech - Post Thanks option panel. Yes, I am a super administrator, I checked.

Any ideas?

Everything is showing like it should work... all the settings are set up the way I'd done it a few times before but for some reason it's not functioning at all. Nothing happens when clicking on the Like or Thanks ... and the drop-down doesn't work either.

What's been changed with this Mod since I posted in here last August - https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showt...96#post2234896 Whatever it was that changed, it broke it for me.

I'm using 4.1.5 pl1

I couldn't tell you, that's a long time ago.

Please check Firefox' error console for any errors.

Sorry, but I don't understand what this has to do with Firefox.

However, I did get it working to the point that ONLY the dropdown (expand/collapse button) doesn't work. It doesn't expand/collapse like it's meant to, all it does is take you to the top of the page which isn't it's function.
See attachment (taken from my working website) of what I mean.

I have tried installing both versions... the older one (v1.1.7 PL1 (Lite)) and the newer one v2.0.2 (Lite)). I have the older one working nicely on my existing website (using the same vB version), but for some reason neither versions of this mod are working on the rebuild of my website.

So, do you or anyone else have any clues as to WHY it's not working? What's causing that function to do something it's not meant to be doing? :confused:

I REALLY want this mod working on my website rebuild.

Thanks for the reply, Fillip... I've checked even using other browsers and it doesn't work on any of them.... NONE of the expand/collapse buttons work right (not just the Like/Thank mod ones)... they ALL now take you to the top of the page instead of expand/collapse what it's meant to do it to.

What is the actual code you used for the expand/collapse function?
Maybe it somehow got messed up by another mod... if I know what it is I could search for it and see if I can fix it!?!?!

Cheers,
Lisa

I am experiencing the same thing. I'm sure it is just one minor setting/fix, but what do I need to do?

I am running vb version 4.0.5.

I am superadmin, have set appropriate settings in 'Manage Buttons', selected user permissions.

Although, I do not see the available settings in Usergroup Manager like the screenshot says I should.

Thanks for your wonderful help.

Please check Firefox' Error Console for any JS errors.

There is nothing in Usergroup Manager, it's in the left side menu under DBTech - Post Thanks -> Button Management :)

OK, Fillip, thanks... but what about this part:

"when I click a Like, Thanks, etc. nothing happens."

Everything appears to be installed correctly, but then when I click any of the options, nothing happens.

What can do to fix this?

Thanks.

DragonByte Tech 01-16-2012 08:26 PM

Please check Firefox' Error Console.

I did a fresh install on 4.1.9. Applied permissions and settings. Everything shows up but nothing happens when you click on the "like" "thanks" or "dislike" buttons.

DragonByte Tech 01-16-2012 09:30 PM

Please check Firefox' Error Console.

If i already have the "AJAX Thank You" hack installed and i install this one will it keep the thanks my users already have?

LisaArnold 01-17-2012 01:57 AM

Hi Fillip,

I've checked Firefox's Error console (on both sites) and nothing different shows between the working site and the rebuild site. So I still have no idea why it's not working the way it should on my rebuild site.

Cheers,
Lisa

If you run the included importer, yes :)

Have you tried it on a default (unmodified) skin?

Hi
I installed this addon after importing from the old thank you addon

I dont see the "thanks" or "like" button on my forum
any previous thanks are shown but users and me cant use it to thank/like new\old threads
i think something is missing in the showthread to make those shown again

any suggestions?

jefferis 01-17-2012 07:57 PM

Hi, when we log into superadmin, we are not seeing the control the Thanks Post button on the left column. Also the instructions talk about a few files that are not part of the download:

the instructions talk about some files that are NOT included in the plugin:

I don't know what this stuff is in the instructions:

/*================================================= =====================*\
|| 2. Requirements ||
\*================================================ ======================*/

vBShout importer has been tested to work on Post Thanks v7.7 //Shout NOT IN THE DOWNLOAD
and DBTech vBShout Advanced Thanks / Like v1.0.0

/*================================================= =====================*\
|| 3. First Time Installation / Upgrade ||
\*================================================ ======================*/

1. Upload all files from the "upload" folder to your forums directory.

2. Go to [your admin dir]/thanksimport.php
http://www.igotasubaru.com/admincp/thanks.php
When I GO THERE IT SAYS:

Sorry, you don't have permission to access the administrative controls on this page.

If you need to access this page, ask your lead administrator to enable your permissions for this page using the Administrator Permissions section of the control panel.

That is because the account you are using lacks the "Can Administer Thanks" permission. Please double-check that the userid is correctly added to the Super Admins list, or use the Administrator Permissions page to grant the aforementioned permission to your account.

OK i was able to fix it by removing all the V's from Manage Forums

He means "Forum Manager" under the DBTech - Post Thanks admincp menu group.

If you don't see that menu group, add yourself to Super Administrators in config.php

As I've already said before, I have it working perfect on my existing website... I just can't get it working properly on my rebuild of the website.

Anyway, I've given up trying to get it working.... I've turned off the function for it to show the dropdown stats in the postbit area.

Everything else works fine.

Hallo.
I just installed this mod...but there are 2 big problems:

1) I can't import previous "thanks" given because there is not the file thanksimport.php. Where can I find it?
2) I can't "thank" or "like" posts because there is not the thank or like buttons. (I attach you a picture to better understand).

Where I'm wrong?

Thank you

Minor bug... There is a reference to an non existent CSS file.. dbtech_thanks_compat.css
Code:

<template name="dbtech_thanks_member_css" templatetype="template" date="1294256229" username="Belazor" version="1.1.1"><vb:if condition="$show[vb4compat]">
</vb:if></template>

How do I disable the hide function?

AusPhotography 01-29-2012 07:13 AM

Reported an issue on http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/f52/v...214/#post35746

What happens is when viewing a user profile (not own) the Current Activity does not display.
If I disable Advanced Post Thanks Like then the Current Activity data does display.

Ok, I'm having trouble with step 4. I'm trying to find the MANAGE BUTTONS bit and I cannot find it anywhere. It's not on the navbar on the left, in the SETTINGS section or under PLUGINMANAGER.

According to the step:

Quote:

4. Configure your Usergroup settings by clicking "Manage Buttons" under
"DBTech - Post Thanks" in your AdminCP navigation menu, then
editing each button and setting your usergroup permissions from there.
But I can't find it anywhere. I've logged in, logged out and still it does not appear. Any suggestions?

When I try disabling this mod I noticed the hide function is not disabled so all posts that were hidden and require a thank click cannot be seen. How do I fix this?

DragonByte Tech 02-01-2012 03:31 PM

Try clearing and rebuilding the posts cache.

Thanks that worked but the is still enabled when users use that tag their new posts are hidden.

I have searched and can not find an answer to why you have to refresh the page after hitting the thanks button to see the attachments. I have seen other questions about this but no answer. Is this supposed to auto-refresh.

Thanks

It's a conflict with another mod.

Thanks

There's an issue with auto-refreshing on 4.1.10 as they changed the way attachments work. It's currently in Alpha testing on one person's site, I will make a release when I'm sure he's not going to report back any issues :)

Try these instructions and see if they help, be sure to back up any template / CSS you change. If they don't help, then we're sadly unable to assist with this as this is not something that happens on a default skin.

This is most commonly the result of CSS settings, namely the background attribute of the .postbitlegacy .postfoot .textcontrols a, .postbit .postfoot .textcontrols a, .eventbit .eventfoot .eventcontrols a { CSS class, in postbit.css.
To fix it, please try the following steps:

Step 1) Remove all the contents of the postbit_control_background StyleVar.
Step 2) If that didn't fix it, please enter the postbit.css file and find the .postbitlegacy .postfoot .textcontrols a, .postbit .postfoot .textcontrols a, .eventbit .eventfoot .eventcontrols a { CSS class, and remove the background: definition.
