Nothing more annoying than someone having a problem, asking for help, then saying they fixed it without telling people how.

Anyway, had the same problem.
Fixed: Make sure that your customVID directory and sub-directories are chmod 777.

How does this script figure out if a video has already been posted before?

Reason I ask is because the must be an error in it because I keep getting...

CHMOD the /customVID/thumbs/ directory to full read/write/execute 777 permissions.
CHMOD the /customVID/sitemap/ directory to full read/write/execute 777 permissions.

When I try and execute 777 permissions, I get this error.

"When sending custom QUOTE commands to the remote server, one of the commands returned a 400 or higher error code. [21] Additional information: QUOT string not accepted: SITE CHMOD 0777 index.html.
Server has replied: [500] 'SITE CHMOD 0777 index.html': command not understood."

I got it now I didn't even think to add the usergroup id numbers in the code.

Well could be that your cant embed that video
some people turn it off on uploading a video

hello, this looks and sounds like an awesome MOD and I'm about to pull the trigger........ I do have 2 questions though....

1. Do you have to install the JW Player in addition? Or is it included in your files?

2. Can you add an upload option that would allow users to upload their own personal videos and other media to the defaulted directory as mentioned below rather than an administrator having to do it or having to setup an FTP option to that directory?

users can upload links from youtube or any other supported site, if you give them permission to do it, to actually host you are limited but i think you will have more options in the next version is what Ive read. its a great mod just because you can have have videos that may pertain to your site. it is a great mod , no need for a player, as it uses flash on the users end

I uninstalled this mod. It did not suit my needs. However i am getting sql errors all the time now.

Hello, I am about to add the CRR for Media Library but I have a concern that we have put the old url links in alot of the video description to link them to other videos. These would obviously not be rewritten. How would I go about making sure the old media url links would redirect to the new ones? I have made a support ticket at VBSEO and they said they don't support CRR in support ticket system I posted a post in their thread but have yet to receive any info. If anyone has any insight as to what I can do to make this work please let me know. We have over 18,000 videos most of them with links to the others and I cannot add these CRR unless these url links redirect correctly to the episode. Thanks everyone for your time.

What page are you getting this error on? Did you disable your widgets and blocks?

@Jaxel. I am not getting it on any specific page.
This is simple the email the software is emailing me.
I am getting approx 100 of these a day currently.
No physical errors on the forum though as far as i am aware.
As for diabling any widgets or blocks. No not that i am aware.

*UPDATE

First i noticed it was the same ip triggering the errors. Turns out it was google. (oops on my part not updating the robots.txt file anyway)
I was able to determine it was the media.php file that was causing the error.
Deleted and it appears at this point to be problem solved.
Shouldn't this file have been removed when i uninstalled?

uninstalling a mod will not delete files you manually uploaded to your server. to completely remove a product you must also manually remove all files you uploaded. on all mods

For those having issues with uStream and possibly other services not playing in IE8 but working with all other browsers you can try the following. Going in to media_service and changing the svcMovie row from

For whatever reason Internet Explorer isn't playing nice with any "?*=" and simply removing them seems to fix the issue. At least I know it's working for uStream. It might for other services as well. Hope this works for anyone else who is having an issue with this. I know that doing this videos still play just fine on Firefox, Internet Explorer 8, and Safari. I haven't tested to make sure Chrome still functions fine by removing part of that code but I assume it does.

Would like to use this mod, but there's still the charset problem, so this mod "destroys" letters and signs like ??????

Hope this will be fixed in later versions.

Btw: There's also a problem with announcement topics. If you have many tags for a video they'll destroy the design of the forum if you view the topic :(

But... when displaying a video on the forum using the code from the media library, the video is too big and overlaps.

looks ok in media just has this problem in forum threads looks like, there was a bug in 403 that did a weird wrap around thing and made posts all weird, wonder if it was fixed in the new version your on 404?.

not sure since i don't run 404

Hello Jaxel, I was wondering if you can help us out with this one; we have a bit of a concern with the search feature. Let's say someone wants to search for and episode of "Bleach" and the episode 240 . Now let's say the actual video is named "bleach - 240" ; if you search for just "bleach 240" (without the dash) the video will not appear in search; if you type "bleach - 240" exactly how the name is then the video will come up in the search results. My question would be how can I broaden the search to include only letter maybe or not so specific to allow for more results possibilities maybe? Any light yourself or anyone can shine on our concern please don't be shy. We have close to 20,000 videos and it is very hard to find a specific one because of the nature of our implementation of the mod so any help we can receive would be immensly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I can't click on any of the links in the Media library. I keep getting a 404 Not Found error.
I can't submit media or create categories, etc.

For example the link to submit media is 'http://www.wemovie.co.uk/forum/media/submit' but there's nothing on that page. Just a 404 Error.

Help!?

That error seems releated to the $perpage variable being empty. Make sure your comments per page variable is not 0.

I'd like to propose the addition of rss feed importing. So we can add an RSS feed from Youtube or Blip, etc.. and have it bring in the file automatically instead of having to manually add each file.
