i have transfered my forum on another server (new vb installation). when i have installed thanks plugin al thanks counts for all users was 0 . how i can restor thanks counts?

Install problem :

Im using vb 3.7.3 PL1 and enabling xcache datastore caching system. When i tried to install the product it seems nothing happened while the browser keep telling me the request is in process. Its like hang.

its a long install, i set it to install and went and made some food was finished when i got back

I would like it to be smaller but dont know what template to edit, or what to edit in a template either. I've searched through the thread but havent found anything to help me, step by step. If someone could help, it would be appreciated. :)

The security check is currently only for add thanks. The same exploit can be used to remove thanks without the thank-giving user knowing it... I hope this will be fixed in the next release.

By the way, there is no way you will release the groan hack for 3.7? That is also a cool and requested hack from my forum :D

Is it possible to display all the thanked users after the last post ? I have enabled 1 thank per thread and only to the first post just now. We don't have thank feature used earlier on. So how can we make so that the users who have thanked the thread displays after the last post of the thread ?

hello again..what makes this product take so long to install? Is it because it add post_thanks_amount into post table? How long can we expect to finish?

Update..i had run installation last 8 hours ago and go to sleep. Now i wake up and i saw the installation process still running :eek::eek::eek:

i using verion 3.7.0 and i install it...but it have a bug..plz check it now!

Hi, the thanks button is only show at default style it didn't show at my custom style how to config ? i've put the post_thanks.gif in two buttons folder !

Check the Settings for the thank you plugin. Chances are something like maximum date range is causing this (thats what happened to me). I had it set so stories over 100 days old couldn't be voted on and it would give me the same error when i tried to vote on older stories.

I also see that permission error message. But only for admin though, members does not see that. Any idea?

if you look at the link for the thanks when you get that error message you will probably see that the post number is not the same as the post you are trying to thank - have seen this on my forum too

This may be to do with your hosting if it is uploading maybe you have used your memory limit

I want to display the "Thanks"-Button next to the "Reply"-Button in Showthread, anybody know how to do this?

And another Suggestion: Is there a way to sort threads by thanks in Forumdisplay? That would be great!

I noticed this occurred when users where part of 2 Usergroups 1 primary and one secondary. (fortunately i only have 20 users like this)

i went into each of these users and set the SHOW USER GROUP under the main usergroup to default. this solved the issue on my board.

After Years using both (Thanks and Groan) i have now uninstalled both of them.

In fact for me and a lot of other Admins it makes no sence to use the Post Thanks Hack without the Groan Hack and Groan was not updated for a long Time now.

I have send some PMs about this to Abe1 and everytime i get the same Answer that he will updated the Groan Hack soon. But nothing happens ..... :(
