in 1.3 bottom of update counters. select only the usergroups you want to update
in 1.4 theres an acp link under the vbcredits menu

Anyway, how do I set the credits a member gets for referring new members? I see the Referee Bonus Credit, but that looks like it rewards people for filling in the "who referred" you field. What field do I set the credits for referring members?

Using 1.4, I no longer have the links in the user profiles or in the postbits to donate to anyone. What did I miss?

GekkoPixie - check your visibility settings. when you upgraded to rc1 one of the visibility settings gets unset on accident (its fixed in 1.4 final)
Then check your usergroup settings to make sure admin isnt locked from vbcredits

vBulletin has their own referral code as far as i am aware.

Where X is the referrers userid. Basically your members can post links like this for other people to join and automatically have themselves as the referrer. new users can still remove the name, but the link automatically fills it in.

WHATEVER way that a new user joins and indicates their refererrer (by link, typing it in, etc) then the referrer will get credits. you can also verify new referrals by waiting until they are a certain number of days registered, or reach a certain postcount and/or reputation, before they get the credits for the referral

could you get vBcredits to work with this system?
i would like some sort of casino (with texas hold 'em (which is in the above system)) compatable with vBcredits.

For the casino there is a option in the admincp to set the cashtype, lets you use it with most cash systems. For this one just change it to "credits" and you should be set.

no, that would be too much of a strain on your server (as an extension of "logging all credit earnings" has the same rammifications)

How do I change "Credits" into "$", "Points", or "Cash"?

Would it be a problem if I replace "Credits" with "$", because I fear php might mistaken it as a variable?

edit the phrase that is 'credits' exactly. using $ for the value will cause no problems at all

Installed vbcredits... where is this user referal system? all i see on usercp is
Manage Credits...no one is going to know what that means, I dont know
what it means...

if youd read the directions during install you would know the answers to these questions. start by looking in the usergroup manager and the settings.

its not ready yet they are still building it, but i believe its going to be free anyway, you can become a premium member on vbcredits and get access to the releases earlier than anyone else or just wait for the release

In the instruction it says " If you do NOT have TMS installed" what is TMS?
