Anyone got a solution to this perhaps already?
I want the users not only to set their images public or private but be able to show their, lets say public2 gallery, to special users they can choose or to protect this gallery with a password they can give to users they want to show. Is this possible? Any Ideas out there? Regards ;) |

Not sure if this issue has been discussed, if It has, please post link to that post, I must have overlooked it.
Question: A while back, I had one userbgroup Trying to upload a new image, and received an error message saying, You only have 54 available slots to upload to , with 0 slots remaining. Some how, I got it working again. Now the admins usergroup cannot upload. All settings are correct. |

|
Another problem with this mod:
The dropdown is after editing the navbar template shown but i canĀ“t upload images; the permission is given in the setting but the upload mask is not shown. It is just refreshing the window and says: Hosted images for : testuser No image hosted Any idea? Thanks! |
Does anybody have any idea what all those files starting with "tmp_" are doing in the image folder? Can I safely delete them, some of them are realy huge. I am able to open them in a image-viewer/editor. In my opinion these files are useless.

Hey there,
I don't know what went wrong, but all of a sudden the VB image host stopped working in a testing-forum of mine (vb3.6.9). It worked quite normal and fine, the next day I cannot upload pictures anymore, I now get this error message: Code:
Warning: getimagesize() [function.getimagesize]: Read error! in /vbimghost.php on line 647 Do you have any ideas what I could do? I don't want to miss this great add-on!! Thanks a lot! |
Same for me 3.6.9 is not compatible with this version anymore :( I get 404 errors when I try to view pics or upload them :(
|
I have just installed this on 3.6.9 and it's working OK so far.
|
hmm... WORKING
vb 3.7.0 RC1 imagehost version: 1.0.0 (I never upgraded...forgot!) but after reading all the problems... I think I won't upgrade. "don't fix it if it ain't broke" right? maybe ppl should try with 3.7.0? |
Sorry, just to let you kow: it IS in fact absolutely working with vB 3.6.9.
The problems I had came from another reason and had nothing to do with the VB Image Hosting :o |
Since I'm a newb (and got blurred vision from reading too many posts in this thread :) ), can I have someone post why I would want someone to use my servers to upload their images? Is there an advantage to me doing so as far as traffic to my site, etc?
How has it helped others? Again, be gentle...I'm new. :) |

Glad to hear, I did'nt dare to upgrade after reading that this hack should not work... Robert |
Does anyone else have this working with 3.6.9 successfully without jumping through a bunch of hoops? I'm a bit worried about upgrading and losing this great mod.
|
I have it working fine on 3 3.6.9 vb sites. I will give you links to all 3 if you want to see.
|
Got a minor issue with this.
If i upload a widescreen screenshot at 1680*1050 res, it uplaods and returns me to a completly blank screen [no error message at all] If i resize the image locally on my PC to 1280*768 and upload again, it works perfectly. I have max image dimensions set to 2000*2000, file size is also well below the limit i have set. Running on vb 3.6.8 |
Works like a dream on 3.6.9 in my forum!
|

Did you chmod the directory correctly, and upload all files?
|
Hi, I couldn't find a solution to this problem: is it possible to make the whole VB Image Hosting only accessable to members who are logged in? Now guests are only prohibitted to upload pictures, but I would like to forward them to the log in fields when they click any of the three menu links... Is this possible?
Thanks a lot!! |
how to delete all my backup files of vb from batabase??
|
I searched and searched in this thread, but 74 pages is a lot ...
I get this quick error[?] after I upload or delete images, "Could not find phrase 'vbimghost_deleted'." then it redirects in about a second and everything is normal, so it's not really a big deal just wondering why it says that and where do I got to fix it? |
Guys, make sure you install this with it:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=142396 Great add-on! :) |
I have a small problem. I added the code to show the pics in the profile screen, however it always displays 5 pics in the filmstrip, even when I set it in admin to display 3. The 5 pics are breaking outside the layout of my page. Where can I set it to less pics? I'd rather not make the thumbnails much smaller.
|
Does This Have Watermark System??
|
yes
|
Hey I've tried my best to figure this out on my own but I can't. How do I do this step?
Change the permission for the upload directory to 777. Note: The upload direcotry is where your files are going to be uploaded to [in the folder here it's called imagehosting] Thanks! |
Quote:
So no idea which directory to CHMOD to 777. Can any one help please?? |
Yea... exactly. It's like it almost wants to work but that step is preventing it.
|
FTP client, navigate to your forum dir, then select set permissions on the downloads dir and change it to read/write/execute on all (owner, group, public) or simply enter 777 in numeric box. Most FTP clients work like this.

Will this addon operate under vBulletin 3.7? (I have peeked through the thread but didn't see anything regarding this.)
Thanks :) |
vb 3.7 has got its own image upload / album built in.
|
Yes, I know that - however that's not the point. The point is that the users should be able to access their old uploaded images sent via VB Image Hosting.
|
On a related note to the above, would it be possible to 'import' image hosting files into the new 3.7 image album?
|
Did the template mods, set usergroup settings, everything is uploaded, chmod done, everything as installation instructions say to do, not showing up in my navbar though..what's this about..?
Using 3.6.8 |
