Yes I did upload the xml file, the first attempt gave me an db error. I then tried again, and I thought it had worked.

But when I go into the permission screen, and try to change any permisson for any user group I get an error.

I tried uninstalling the plugin, and get an error. I tried just restoring my db from a backup that I had prior to trying to load this hack, but that didn't work either, and just created the empty option in my usergroup settings.

Who do we contact on vb.org about having them remove the 'supported' checkmark on this hack? If the hacks creator isn't going to support the hack, then that needs to be removed.

How do you change the game catergory? My are appearing in all and random but not their respective catergory.

I have edit both 'postbit' and 'postbit_legacy' templates and for some reason I cannot challenge somebody else. I have checked the checkbox to receive challenges, but for some reason I "do not have permission" to change other people.

How can I enable the challenge system?

Each and every use must enable the challenge system by updating their arcade options in the usercp. There is no other way to enable it.

For the ones that this doesn't work, what are our options?
It seems deleting the entire forum, and database and starting over is the only option?

fonzie, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I uninstalled this but it left under usergroup manager the check boxes, the words are gone but check boxes are there, if I try and change permissions i get this error..

But I am not sure how to edit it, cos there isnt such thing as "arcade_welcome_area", there is "arcade_welcomearea" but it makes no sense.

You have to go in admincp choose "language and phrases" and search in arcade the arcade_welcome_area phrase

people are reporting that the system is not sending them PMs when their scores are beat, and yes they have all the proper things enabled...what else is needed to get that to work?

Well I'm going to reinstall my test forum, and just start over I guess. Unless someone can tell me some other way to get the usergroups to work again? Is it a template that needs to be reverted?

Well a few of us had problems trying to install it (it seems to only partially install), and now we cant' get it to uninstall.

I've been posting on here for the past couple weeks, and haven't been able to get any help.

What I finally ended up doing is, restoring my database from a older version before I had tried to install it. But now, when I go into the user permission settings, there is a section of blank options, and if I try and change any permissions for any group I get this.

As you can see in the 'acradepermissions' is still showing up here. I'm just not sure how to finally get rid of this.

If you go back a couple pages, you can see my previous posts too. Not sure if that will help any?

I was excited to see this and wanted to pay for the branding free option, but based on the creator's lack of activity here and at his own forums (and the indication this is to be expected), I'm hesitant to touch it at all. I'm going to check out ibProArcade and see if it's any good.

Most v3arcaders are waiting and hoping on the part of John that he'll actually decide to partake in his own hack at some stage and actually get it back on track. Unfortunately, for the most part, a lot of us have been here before and seen this exact same thing happen with the version 3.0.x arcade.

I've been very loyal to v3arcade for as long as it's been around, but even i'm considering swapping over to ibProArcade at the moment, simply because I am desperate to have the tournament part of the arcade for my site and after so long, I'm on the verge of giving up waiting. If I could code it into v3arcade myself I would, but i'm not quite advanced enough for that yet.

I had v3 Arcade installed on my forum before and it all worked fine. A while ago I uninstalled it, everything appeared to go fine. Now I installed it again and this time there's no section for the arcade in my AdminCP. Before there was a bar just for the arcade in the list on the side where I could add/remove games, change settings, order, etc. Does anyone know how to get it there? There is a Arcade option under vB Options but that just does the general settings.

I've installed and uninstalled at least 5 times today hoping a I made a mistake each previous time but no luck. So... Does anyone know how to get it to appear?

Who knows, mine didn't even add the tables into the database, and no one is answering a question I put in about the proper code to add a query into mySQL to fix the errors.

To be honest, maybe if you can, write the step by step to uninstalling, so I can get rid of the damn thing. :(

I just scrapped the test forum and started over. I just couldn't wait any longer.
I don't get why this hacked is still marked as supported? I even emailed. VB.org about it, and asked them to remove it. Just so others finding this hack know there is no support and to know ahead of time before installing.

At least there are a number of posts here now, that describe the problems so hopefully newbies who find this, read all the way through before attempting to install.

If enabled, users will have Arcade awards displayed in their postbits and profiles.
but i like all the other features any way just to disable postbits

Yes, you can control which usergroups have access to the arcade. You can create a secondary "Arcade Available" usergroup and setup how users get automatically added to that group. Then you allow access from that group, but not the normal registered users usergroup.
