Running on 3.6.8 with no problems. Despite cookie based detection being easy to circumnavigate this will certainly weed out some abusers. Cheers!

Both hacks work fine for me also on (3.6.8 PL1) I have been running both for sometime with no problems until a few weeks ago when I upgraded to PHP 5+ and changed the config.php file from MySQL to MySQLi
I started to get an error when members tried to register again with the same IP address, but corrected that with a small change in the product-ma_prevent.xml file. If anyone is having this same problem I can post the code correction if you like.

Works as advertised right out of the box as far as I can see. Tested using 2 different accounts and indeed it trips the alarm as expected. The only thing I have changed is the name of the cookie to make it look less obvious, ie: it matches the naming convensions used by the vBulletin installation. I'll be running another few tests over the weekend, but it looks like another great addon. :up:

The files don't need to be updated; they've worked for a long time as-is. Its a very simple mod; if it isn't working it's likely caused by another plugin interfering in some manner.

What kind - type of other plugin is more possible to interfere? Where should we start looking from?
