I tried GMail to test it out with my GMail settings, and I got this.

An error accoured while connecting to your POP3 server!

Correct :( I played with it a bit and realized that I could delete mails sent to me from gmail & hotmail accounts etc. I had been testing the mail script by emailing myself. I have concluded that emailing yourself results in rendering the buttons useless with those emails. Is there anyway to fix this?

GMail requieres a SSL connection, this is not yet implemented, but I have an idea that hopefully will work....

With the help of Parker Clack there seem to have some bugs fixed for that buttons, let's see if this also helps you :)

To upgrade, just overwrite with new files and re-import the product, correct?

i need a little help understanding. i have never used a email client. through my host i could set up 1 account like users@example.com and in my admincp i can enter the correct fields as default for that email? and all my users can work of that one adress? like myusername@example.com and they can set up there own email password? i just have to supply the main password for the host given emai in the admin cp and this hack will distribute the emails to the correct user within my vb? so i could have 150 emails accounts all working of that 1? sorry for the newbie questions.

Yep, that's how I put it on my public dev server.
Just reupload and reimport with "Allow Overwrite" :)

First off: As posted several times before ;) it is currently not possible to provide eMail accounts to members with this.

It is, however, the next feature to come, I am currently working on this.

Next is, the options in the AdminCP are for forcing/overriding the user settable options.
So, if you want to FORCE ppl using a special mail server, enter it there.
If you want ppl to allow to use ANY server you MUST leave those fields empty.

(For the moment this doesn't make too much sense, but in the future it will become more important when to eMail providing thing works.)


Then go to your user settings of WMail and set your POP/SMTP server like described by your ISP/provider.
