Ok, wierd thing happened. Someone just donated and updated the amount, .....and now the paypal seal is showing again.....wierd?! On the other hand, the amount still ONLY reflects the donations via the website, not those which I have manually entered. Any help on this??

Ok, I did a clean vb3.5.0test install, then uploaded the donation files and I continue to get the same error on the vbtest board...

is this set up for monthly? If not, can i do it so that the amount gained is only for one month and donations can be restarted again each month.

i noticed when i upgraded to rc1 donations.php just showed up blank and all the admin options had disappeared

I just nuked everything and resinstalled and manually added everyone again..quit a chore! but hell we are working with beta stuff here....its to be expected

how does it work when you have the link of the scription link on your paypal account already...you can't put more than 1 url in the paypal account.

dont think u can have 2 IPNs so what will happen is it wont update
you will need to enter users manually if u still want to use it

or have ur sister or something create another account
i know u can only have one but nothings there to stop a relative to take them in and then transfer things back into your account

I'm still using this hack on 3.0.7 and i love it. If you could help me out just tell me what code to change to just have it sort Donors by Last donation instead of Top Donors...

11 days, 28 messages....that's how long it's been since we last saw CloudRunner....... everything going ok? I bet you are just waiting until the vbulletin 3.5 gold comes out before making changes. Just making sure you're still there! Thanks again.

What do you mean? If I just install the 3.5 version templates it'll keep the hack and update everything? I don't want to just update and then find out the whole hack will be messed up cause I installed the 3.5 version on 3.0.7.

everytime you upgrade the settings get wiped out
happened on upgrading to RC1 and again on RC2

Alright folks, sorry about the long time since I've been online, I've had quite a few problems lately that have prevented me from being here and updating the system. HDD crash and burn, CPU crash and burn, problems at work and a death in the family (stupid cat anyway...). Anyway, I'll be getting RC2 on the test box today and start updating PPD and will post the results here when available. It may take awhile for this one, because I am integrating some new features that I thought of while away, and I'm going to get this thing 100% plugged so that the entire thing installs off of just one file upload.

Will update with progress as I get to the milestones.

Since there seems to be a small bit of confusion on the IPN let me clarify...

Paypal allows a system to tell the IPN server where to shoot the IPN for a specific transaction. If you have this integrated into the POST during the transaction then the server will shoot any and all IPNs concerning that transaction to the place where you tell it during the initial transaction. This allows you to bypass your IPN URL setting in your paypal profile, thus enabling you to use multiple versions of this (and other) systems for IPN logging.

I hope this helps to clarify things abit.

you need to update the goal totals as well manually...it is done within the specific goal towards which you wish the $$$ to go.

run the installer again with all the installation files on your server, you can do it from there.

Just an idea if you can't already do it...

Can you make it so it's possible that donors are automatically placed in a specified usergroup? Donors on my forum are entitled to extra benefits so it'd be cool if they were automatically moved into the usergroup that gives them the better benefits.

EXCELLENT IDEA!! I was wondering about that feature. I thought since an icon appeared next to the users, they WERE put in another group, but then I realized they weren't.

Ok... I've fixed it... hopefully...

If you recieved the same error I did, then simple do this :

in donations_install.php find :

Oh and for some reason the final step never displayed correctly for me so I had to manually edit the adminfunctions_template.php file and made it look like this :

this hack is great!
I have 3.5 RC1 and there was no problem with my installation.
I have PayPal Business account.

When I click om my new PayPal button in my donate.php I get forward to my PayPal site for paying.
To pay people need an PayPal Account.
I can´s see how people can pay whitout an PayPalAccount?
Is there any other settings in my Paypal account I have to do except the IPN?

I have clicked on many Donation side (even Cloudrunner?s) and everytime I need to register to PayPal if I want to donate.

Maybe becourse I live outside USA? (Sweden) ???

As this was apparently released under GPL, I've repackaged it as a Product for those interested.

To install it this way, upload the Files from the Attached ZIP, import the Product XML and make the Template Edits.
I left the original HTML File for reference, so don't wonder that it mentions Files that do not exist, File Edits (no File Edits are required), etc.
