Any idea why (some of) my registered users can't see the "Who's In Chat" plugin at the bottom of my Forumhome? (I can see it fine - I thought the plugin install was flawless).
If they log OUT - they CAN see the Who's in Chat (as a guest!!) But logged in - they don't see it at all. They are having no problem getting in and out of chat, and have done hard refreshes and cookie cleanup out the wazoo. LOL THESE are my users who normally don't ever have problems on upgrades. I don't have an idea what to look for in the code. |

Thanks!

I found the installation instructions for this hack extremely vague. Certainly wasn't as good as the 3.5.0 flashchat integration.
I have no knowledge about the templates and xml thing. :( I managed the first bit adding the bit of code to FORUMHOME, but i decided to leave the second bit. Was just too scary. :ermm: |
Sorry, but IMO there is nothing vague about them.

Thank you Paul - I am embarrassed I missed that simple instruction :cross-eyed:

When I had this installed before I upgraded to 3.5.0 I thought there was a way to make it so that the bot did not count towards the number of users in chat. I don't remember how it was done though.
|
You are correct, there used to be an option to include/exclude bots, until I realised that you could not display their names even if they were included, and removed the option again. However, it does sort of make sense not to include them in the count, so maybe I'll add that part back. Thing is, some people will probably want to include them in the count still, so it really needs to be an option.

EDIT: Right, still none the wiser :( Do i upload this from the Style Manager or the Plugins Manager? Quote:
I've enabled plugins manager. I've created a new product from the plugins manager. Called it your product id. Added the xml code in the box. Doesn't do a thing, please help. :tired: |
installed :)

Does anybody have a link set up on their navbar to link to the chat?

I don't see this in the ACP option anywhere. I've imported the product succesfully, but it doesn't add any options...ANy clue?

vbulletin options > forum home page options.

Hi!
i installed the chat, but the users in the room don't coincide with the users in the chat list of the main page:surprised: Help Me! :surprised: |
Quite simply, you haven't done the integration of flashchat to vb - you are probably running flashchat in it's default stateless mode.
|
What "Hook Location" do i need to set this plugin to?
Anyone know? :disappointed: |
You don't, just import it and it sets itself.
|
Any way to change
Members currently using Flashchat: to Chat Room? |

I've sorted it at last. It was typically my error. Why's it always my fault.
Thanks for the script :) |

Quick and easy to install. Works perfectly :)
Thank you |
I have a "," in front of my usernames... How can i fix this?
|
I would guess you have a bot in your chat.
It's a known issue due to the way bot names are stored. At the moment it will count the bot and try to display the name, even though it can't. It will be fixed when I do the next release. |
I don't use bots. I noticed, that the "," is gone now ;)
I'll keep an eye on it. Thank you |
Can someone help, I'm getting this error:
Warning: Unknown(./chat/inc/config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /index.php(63) : eval()'d code on line 8 Fatal error: (null)(): Failed opening required './chat/inc/config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/n484092/public_html/forum/index.php(63) : eval()'d code on line 8 thanks, Bob |
Try looking up the thread, about 7 posts.

Since installing who-is-chatting, I have added a new usergroup. When I login as a member of this new usergroup, I do not see the Who's Chatting. If I login as one of the default vBulletin usergroups, I do see it.
How do I give this new group permissions to view the Who's Chatting? the note at the top of this page say: 8. The ability to allow only certain usergroups to view the list is an ACP option. but does not say where in the ACP that option is found i've been looking thru the ACP but cannot find an option for allowing or denying access to the who-is-chatting info |
