@Bill1970, no porblem. I am glad you brought it up. I wanted to change the text of the code myself because I was tiered of having to answering PMs asking why they do not have permision. And since you brought it up, I did some analyzing and well the rest was history.

@Kirby, I don;t knwo that this would be a huge fix, but it's over my head. An updated version would be nice.

^^^if your saying when you reply you still cant see the hiddent content, your probably using quick reply right. well 3.5's quickreply doesnt refresh the page, so reply, and refresh, and you'll see it :)

This "hide untill reply is posted" hack is very useful - I am sure, however could somebody change it, so the hidden text is only visible to certain primary/secondary usergroups?
This could be used in scenario, where users subscribe/upgrade to some level and VB adds them to some primary/secondary group. With that in place full content of the post would be revealed instedad of a "teaser" visible to the rest. (registered user, guests, whatever)?

What do you think of that idea - would that be usefull to anybody, but me?

That'd be my hide hack, it features hiding text by usergroup (e.g. showing only to certain usergroups)... link's in my profile.

i have installed it on my vb 3.5.1
but it works sometimes, and it doesnt work sometimes

just thought id help out..with me, ive uninstalled it, but it only used to work when i put the hidden content at the bottom, after all the text. that's the only time it would work.

i now use vbstyles one and i love it :D

yeah, thats a great hack, but you have to pay to give the feature this hack is giving. i would easily go with Visions hack if i had the extra 30$ kickin around :P

you have to be a paying customer, i bought a style from them and got access. i got it on sale too, so i got a style and the hide hack for 15$

I've tested this hack with VB 3.5.1 and sometimes it works fine. But we've some problems with the old post (vB 3.0.7)

Sometimes when you open a thread where the hide-hack is, you can see the text without reply. But this is only at hide-tags, where we use the code-tag or the url-tag.

I hope you understand my problem and my bad english ;-)

I thought without edditing the plugin, nobody can see the hidden-text without replying.

And our users told me, that the hide did not work correctly. So, it is not a problem with my Admin-Account.
