Is It me or is the VBhacks.us website not loading anymore? I wanted to get some support on this hack.

Here is my question anyways:

Is it possible to allow the user to upload more then one sig ?? I want my users to be able to host 3 sigs in the forums.

From the looks of it it just overwrites the current one.

PranK 06-08-2004 06:36 AM

nice work!

thanks!

/me clicks install

We are moving to a new server, will be up tonight.

i got it installed and things seem ok, i turned on the permissions but still i go to my user cp and i dont see a link to upload the sig

also in the admin cp theres no text for the permissions, very odd, but doable

any help on the first problem?

thanks, see the two attached images

Again, sorry for any trouble and I hate to be a pain in the neck, but these two ideas are the only things that are stopping me from installing it live on my board:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....6&postcount=36
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....8&postcount=27

As you can probably see, my board is huge and it's hard to keep track of members signature.

Any updates/ ETAs on a new release would be much appreciated.

cheers, :)

Parse error: parse error, expecting `T_STRING' or `T_VARIABLE' or `T_NUM_STRING' in /home/www/digitainment.org/www/community/profile.php(2674) : eval()'d code on line 16

:(

Im having a problem with watermarks, cant seem to figure it out so i don't see that happening. Once the new server problem is fixed i will update the code to view sigs and delete them.

what version of vB are you using?

ChuanSE 06-10-2004 09:54 PM

latest 3.0.1 :)

Hmm, i found out that the gd isn't equiped with gif resizing support. and it's not gd2 either. Could that be the problem?

egyptsons 06-13-2004 08:52 AM

nice :)

neo|d3fx 06-25-2004 07:49 AM

hmm.. I also noticed that it will not work properly if you're a member of multiple usergroups. As soon as I removed all but my primary group of administrator, it worked just fine.

Is it Possible to Upload the images on a directory of the forum? I prefer to have the images on the file system and not in the database.

Ecron Daemon 07-08-2004 10:39 AM

Anyone could solve the problem?

Ecron Daemon 07-09-2004 08:58 AM

Up, Help to store the images in the file system and not in the db :(

InsaneContender 07-21-2004 06:45 AM

This isn't compatible with 3.0.3... is it?

Sure, but it stores the images on the db and not in the FS :(

BamaStangGuy 08-04-2004 10:07 PM

has anyone noticed that when you install this hack profile pictures stop working? Sorry if this is already known in a hurry. Using 3.0.3

BamaStangGuy 08-05-2004 12:34 AM

To add on to that. When I go to upload a Profile picture it shows my avatar... if I dont have a avatar it shows nothing......

I uninstalled the hack and nopw the profile pics work correctly

Reeve of shinra 08-05-2004 01:59 AM

I would like to see this as an option on the ustore.

Logikos 08-05-2004 02:12 AM

Sorry guys im no longer supported this hack, if someone wants to work on it then i give em full permissions.

BamaStangGuy 08-05-2004 02:13 AM

Sigh anyone else?

Reeve of shinra 08-05-2004 02:32 AM

Thanks Livewire for making this possible.

Yeah, it's a simple fix. I'm not even a "coder," but I managed to find out what was causing it. :D

In the instructions of the mod, it tells you this..

PHP Code:

Open: /forum/image.php Find (around line 177):
        if (
$_REQUEST['type'] == 'profile')
        {

$data 'profilepicdata';

$table 'customprofilepic';

// No permissions to see profile pics

if (!$vboptions['profilepicenabled'] OR (!($permissions['genericpermissions'] & CANSEEPROFILEPIC) AND $bbuserinfo['userid'] != $userid))
                {

header('Content-type: image/gif');

readfile("./$vboptions[cleargifurl]");
                        exit;
                }
        }

Under Add:
        if (
$_REQUEST['type'] == 'siguploader')
        {

$data 'siguploaderdata';

$table 'customsiguploader';
        }

Doing that divides an "else" code from the profile picture code. So instead of adding that code there, add it under..

PHP Code:

        if ($_REQUEST['type'] == 'profile')
        {

$data 'profilepicdata';

$table 'customprofilepic';

// No permissions to see profile pics

if (!$vboptions['profilepicenabled'] OR (!($permissions['genericpermissions'] & CANSEEPROFILEPIC) AND $bbuserinfo['userid'] != $userid))
                {

header('Content-type: image/gif');

readfile("./$vboptions[cleargifurl]");
                        exit;
                }
        }
    else
    {

$data 'avatardata';

$table 'customavatar';
    }

That way, the code stays together, the profile pictures work, and the signature uploader works too, or so I think..

Which brings me to my problem.. if a user is in multiple usergroups, s/he cannot upload a picture (uploading just refreshes the page, showing no error and no confirmation).

xug 08-07-2004 12:45 AM

It would be very cool if this hack could adopt some options from the old vB2 hack that allows me to have 2 images and it has an insert option so when they click one of the images it will be inserted in the signature.

Awsome that worked

Dorign 08-07-2004 08:53 PM

woot ^_^

Logikos 08-08-2004 02:02 AM

I've updated this hack, im no longer supporting this hack here. vBhacks will the only place that i support this.

Highlander 08-08-2004 04:50 AM

why its not uploaded here , when you are publishing it here?
i registered to the vbhacks.us page but its confusing.. cant download any attachment .. please release it or leave it .. you can give support in vbhacks.us .. but posting this here should also include to publish it here ..

Logikos 08-08-2004 10:24 AM

I do not wish to have my hacks released here any longer. Therefor i removed them. I will have a mod move these threads to the trash asap.

xug 08-11-2004 03:43 PM

Is this another way to get members over there :(

No, if members want my free hack and my support for a feature that i spent my time on. they can go to my site there selfs. They know where it is and they know how to get it. Clicking on the uninstall button won't hurt my feelings as this thread is pending to me moved to the can.

ChuanSE 08-12-2004 05:17 AM

Live Wire,

what happened that you took this decision mate?

Do you even know what your talking about?

LizerisCHN 08-14-2004 12:10 AM

I don't know if you know this or not, and I'm not going to sort through the 8 pages of posts, but...
You misplaced php code.

PHP Code:

Open: /forum/image.php Find (around line 177):

        if (
$_REQUEST['type'] == 'profile')
        {

$data 'profilepicdata';

$table 'customprofilepic';

// No permissions to see profile pics

if (!$vboptions['profilepicenabled'] OR (!($permissions['genericpermissions'] & CANSEEPROFILEPIC) AND $bbuserinfo['userid'] != $userid))
                {

header('Content-type: image/gif');

readfile("./$vboptions[cleargifurl]");
                        exit;
                }
        }

Under Add:

        if (
$_REQUEST['type'] == 'siguploader')
        {

$data 'siguploaderdata';

$table 'customsiguploader';
        }

should be changed to:

PHP Code:

find:
    else
    {

$data 'avatardata';

$table 'customavatar';
    }

add under:

if (
$_REQUEST['type'] == 'siguploader')
        {

$data 'siguploaderdata';

$table 'customsiguploader';
        }

or else it calls the avatar both for the avatar AND for the profile pics. It totally cancels out the display of the signature in the usercp. This confused both me, and a few collegues with vbulletin installed, so we went through a couple of things and decided "who, this isnt right."

Hope it helps.

Logikos 08-14-2004 01:36 AM
