I'm still getting the "X" and don't see the option in ACP to set a default image. Any ideas?

thanks

did they provide a full url including http:// for buttons?

I'm new to all this, I was just wondering whether it is possible to get the top 5 affilates page (/affiliate.php?do=listaffiliates) to be displayed on the forum home? Perhaps underneath the 'who's online' and 'todays birthdays' bit without having to click on a link or anything. Kinda like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...4/example2.jpg (in my case I would want it under the shoutbox perhaps)

Thanks in advance for any help you might offer :)

No, sorry, I mean i get the 'x' when there is no photo added. There should either be a default photo or no image call. Some users don't have a photo to upload.

i get this error when running any querys :(

An error occurred while attempting to execute your query. The following information was returned.
error number: 1064
error desc: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ';
INSERT INTO phrase (languageid,varname,text,phrasetypeid) VA

version 2 of this hack provides a default image if none is given;)

Hi.
Sorry to be a bother here but I'm having trouble with the redirecton when I click the affiliate's name/button. It just recycles forever and doesn't redirect, any suggestions?

TIA.

The Realist 04-12-2005 03:50 PM

In my affiliates > general settings box there are 2 buttons, one is Reset but my other one is blank, no text?

I presume it supposed to be Save but what do I need to do so I can correct it?

Is this 3.0.7 compatible? I started running the queries and got an error on the first one. I'm fairly new to querries so I have no idea what to do with it:

CREATE TABLE affiliates (
affiliate_id int(10) NOT NULL a
I have no idea where I would find a "manual" to check this stuff like it says either.

Marco van Herwaarden 08-03-2005 04:37 AM

Please post the full error message. Difficult to tell what is wrong from that snippet.

PS A 'manual' you can find at http://www.mysql.com

Bah nevermind, I was running the queries through vB's admincp, I went to phpmyadmin instead and it's all up and working. Thanks for replying though, that's more than I get with other hack questions lol.

Marco van Herwaarden 08-07-2005 07:32 PM

If you are using ACP to run queries, your userid must have permissions to run queries in the config.php, and you can only run 1 statement at a time.

Guest190829 08-07-2005 07:54 PM

There's a version two of this hack that works better..

go back to post 89, my first post and read, I had the same problem. If your using the admin cp your have to have permisions to run queries, which I did, it's my site why wouldn't I give myself persmision. :P The way I got them to work was to go through phpmyadmin through my servers site/user admin.

Well not just cpanel, this is a different one than the vb3 admincp, thought I would point that out so your don't get confused mawtenbiker. Your server should have sent you a link to a cpanel for your server, that's where you'll find mysql databases and phpmyadmin.

Well on mine I just select my database, then click the SQL tab and there's a text input box there with this above it: " Run SQL query/queries on database mydatbase_net_forums". Then there's a box with browse button to upload a querie from my computer, and at the bottem a button that says go to execute.

If if doesn't look like this then I can't help you sorry:
