And how to customize it.

You need to edit the Flash, add an action in Frame 5 where it says

gotoandplay("fine");

You need to add:

getURL("phpfile.php", "_self", "POST")

- Where phpfile.php is a file where you add code to process variables and up them to the db.

If you do this, it'll automatically generate a variable on the page you're pointing to entitled: "$punteggio" (told you it was italian!), and you can put that into the db.

Alternatively you could wait for me to do it, I won't be long...

To customize the actual game, just use a Flash editor, like Macromedia's Flash, or Swish. You cannot do it through vB.

I'm at work, so I don't have access to a Flash editor, so I'll just wait till you've done it. PM me the updated Flash file and php file WITHOUT the Lesane store hack addon, and I will update my hack. :)

I literally had to spend ALL day yesterday correcting the spelling mistakes in it, and removing some of the filth. You wouldn't believe some of the things Lesane has included in that code.

Download the store hack, and search for "ilove" in store.php - it's really not funny when you're setting up a board for a client...

Still, when you're making hacks for other people to use, you'd at least keep it clean. :|

One thing I don't understand with this fascination for integrating vB Tetris with the Store Hack - why?

Why would you charge members for playing Tetris? Wouldn't this discourage your members from playing it at all, since they would rather use the points for something more valuable?

It's like a slot machine - put points in, get many many many points out :)

I honestly found it kinda funny...

Or give them a week or month of content with lots of points to win like 1,000 to 10,000 points or something small prize to make them to spend more time with tetris to win the prize. I doubt that it will discourage our members though if we add that.

Go get some sleep! People can install this version first - makes no difference as there is no file edit at all - so upgrading would not be difficult. It'll just be uploading new files. For the top scores you don't need to change the template actually. Just the tetris.swf file, and adding another php file to insert the top score into the database. :)

I'd try to do it myself, but (a) I'm at work (b) John has done it. No point doubling up on work. :)

What do you reckon? Should we add only high scores to the database, or all scores?

If we recorded all scores to the db, it'll use up a little more space - but it would make for some more interesting stats.

Well you could make to where it only saves each user's top score and then display the top 10 somewhere.

And also display the top score of the user in his profile.

A top 10 or Top 5 list would be enough really. Just save the user's top score, and then do DESC LIMIT query to get the top scores.

I know, but it's tempting to save all scores to a new table - that way we can have averages, and stuff :D

A mean, it's only 10 characters per score - how can you resist?!

John, if the Store Hack integration is keeping you up, just finish up the Top Score part without the store hack first for those who don't want to use it with the store hack. :) Then go to sleep...
