Taking applications means we're making a list of volunteer testers. The preliminary tests are happening only on our own sites, the larger test involving the volunteers, will be a test of the full product. We haven't added any testers beyond our own sites as yet - you're not being left out I assure you.

Ozzy will decide who from the list of volunteers will get the full product for testing.

What if someone registers from say tapatalk does it block spammers on this or block normal users or does it even work alongside it

This is starting to look like a marketing / promotion thread. How about you just release it for testing, just like everyone else does, or come back when you have something other than hype to post about. :)

That was all well covered earlier in the thread.This is a tester recruiting thread. It can't be a marketing/promotion thread because we're not selling, anything. We are attempting to line up candidates to beta test a free product soon to be coming to the vBorg community.

We don't believe in releasing a half baked product relying on the vBorg community as unwitting guinea pigs to work bugs out of a product. We want volunteer testers who would like to step forward and be WILLING guinea pigs.:D

I do remember it being asked, but never seen an answer and am a bit busy coding a game to scan over every post. Could please could you answer it won't take long

Where is this plugin? Like Zachery said upload it here - where does everyone go and what is one of the most talked about topics here usually? Spam spam spammity spam spam, its whats for dinner! Those who need it will come, those it works for might spare time to comment and mark as installed.

I'm very interested to see how it can't possibly block a legit human, I've seen that tried before in many fashions and some used the anti-spam phrases if one field check failed, they will move on if one error until a site gives them no troubles when registering so make sure its fail-proof in that respect because humans can be mighty silly or not think and typo etc.

Then it was delayed a week, while someone else looked into it, but it did not go smoothly. So now it is being completely re-written.

I'm really having a hard time grasping what the problem is, starting a thread in the lounge looking to round up some testers for a new product. Of course, it's not the usual way we see things done, with the throwing out of a product hoping there's not too many bugs in it and having the community find them for you. Oh wait, that's exactly the vB5 model!

I mentioned in pm just now that I was behind on work when asked so if I forgot was due to that only not intentional :cool:. I was hoping it would be something cool like Sir Adrian's Fick Spam mod that was pretty neat imo just the way he thought to do it so I'll just wait to see, hurry up and no I'm still behind I shouldn't even be on here now welp back to work!
