Are you sure you gave your usergroup permission to do so?

There are 2 ways:
1.- Being in Classifieds secrion (after clicking Classifieds Tab), ...or...
2.- From your UserCp (Settings)

but as Charlie Delta said, first of all you need to have set permissions for posting. Being Admin doesn't means that you've by deafult permissions to post.

May I make one small suggestion?

Remove the 'Expires in:' limit for admins. The site I'm working with needs that to be unlimited for certain items that the admin posts.

You can set a high amount for expiratin for admins (usergroup permissions). eg 3650 for 10 years. If you want to remove that line at all in view ad page ....come on... it's a toy for you to add a condition there :)

LOL, I didn't even see the setting. Sheesh, you really have thought of everything! No need to remove the field with that setting available.

Very few mods really impress me, but this one is just amazing.

Chris I found a small bug. The breadcrumb links are pointing to an invalid url.

Edit:
Another bug found during testing;
Trying to add a "Make Offer" ad by leaving amount blank. The ad shows as "Make Offer" but when viewing ad details the only option is to "Buy it".

I have found the following issues.

1. I created a new usergroup so I could extend the time for our store items. I have associated this user groups with the member (myself Admin) that will be handling these items.

The first item I entered looked at this value however the second items is looking at the default value of 30 days

In the above you can also see the difference in the expiry time.

What I would also like to see

1. The terms of service displayed when a members is viewing the ad. My terms of service are relevant to both the seller and buyer.

2. A purchase option. When a member ads an item you should have a place for their PayPal email if they have one. So now if another members wants to purchase said item they would select the purchase item option. This would take them to the PayPal page to pay for said item. The seller would then also get a PM.

With the above you would also need to list how many items are for sale. So as in our store that would be unlimited. If you have a limited number of these items once that limit is reached it should flag that item as sold. You could also have a counter indicating how many items are still available to be sold as they are sold.

Otherwise this is an awesome mod all round congratulations on it :)

Started playing and setting up sections, this is a fantastic mod

hmmm.... Try something..... set the max days to 999 and see if it works. I think that when i planed the database structure I had set it to max 3 digits.

There are 2 phrases for Buy Now form:
classifieds_by_buying_1
classifieds_by_buying_2
and another 2 for Make Offer form:
classifieds_by_making_1
classifieds_by_making_2
I believe that they're more than enought to add any text you want.

What browser are you using Charlie? Have heard that editor has some problems with IE10? Please note that this is an external addon (not using vb engine), so even if it works in forums, maybe it will needs some more files to work.

Ok I have it setup like this my main usergroup being Admin and a secondary that I created for this as Classified. Changed the secondary to 999 and it still gives me the 30 days that my primary has in it. Also changed the primary to 999 and then it allows me the 999

So where do I see the professional version then :confused:

Not sure if this is also in the professional version. If a member click but item it send the PM to the seller and then puts the item into reserve. This is great if only one item is being sold but for our forum items they are unlimited and we just produce them on order. So these items should not be placed into a reserve status, or if the individual seller has more than one item to sell.

When selecting a category there seems no way to move to another one without either clicking on the Classified on the menu or using the browser back option.

The ability to add a field description when adding a new field.

With stuff like this I just add a PayPal cart image and link it to my PayPal cart url for the product...works for me in a pinch

The system already supports to show Sold/Expired in ads that haven't removed from the system. But these ads are appearing only when someone browses the "Seller's Ads" or if select "All" as status (default is "Open") in Search form.
If you don't want the ads to be removed from the system you've 2 options:
1.- Set a long time as duration for in usergroup permissions
2.- (This is better). If you like the idea to have different duration per usergroup then let the duration setting as is (eg register members 30 days, vip members 120 days etc) and change in general settings the grace perio to a high value. eg 1000. In this case an ad post by a register user will expires in 30 days but it will stays in the system for 1000 days after expiration.

Added in my todo list to add an icon on the right of "No more categories" which will redirects the users to previous category.

Try to import this file. I've modified a bit the appearance there but when I tested it, it was working. Now I added the original code.

I can now set up a Marketplace Page on Facebook too for my Online Newspaper with some sort of confidence. Very impressed straight out of the box

As per you question. Sure yes can change it as they're just phrases, but later on you'll be messed with the forms at they're containing fields/values for Genarlar Classifieds.

There is no professional version yet, and I don't think that I'll release such version. Once more I've to make clear that I've stoped coding for vB. To help you a bit, in the next release I'll add a switch in post Ad form, where the seller can decide if the ad should be mark as reserve or not. Sorry, this is the only that I can do as a way to help you.
