I just installed it and got it working...however, I only see the shadows of the pins, not the pins (both firefox and IE).

If you're having trouble seeing it, check your address bar. your browser may be blocking mixed content.

GREAT - THANKS :D

THANKS, same "not show me on map"
|
I have configured the mod and the usergroups, but I can see the pin only a few seconds in front of a white background and then the map is loading and the pin vanished. What's wrong here?
|
same here.. :erm:
not really hurts me - just to confirm that I get the same "issue" |
That could be due to the colour of your skin. You can append a style attribute to the surrounding <div> in the dbtech_membermap_info template and see if that helps.

I hope it's not supposed to be accurate, because it says I'm off in the middle of the ocean by Africa, and I can't swim :D
|
It doesn't map your current location. It maps where you should be located!.

Does this have the ability to add people automatically (and then semi-permanently record it so you can find it even when they are offline) or do they have to be put in manually, or does it work like DP's and only work when they are online?
|
It's mostly only when they are online, though you can enable it to display all users. However, this will crash your browser if your forum is sufficiently large (more than 1k members).

why do i only see a fraction of the members when it is set to show all?
|
Is there any way to change the color "my" pin, so that it can be found more easily? Many of the pins on my map are way off, and with a bunch of them displayed, it is almost impossible to find your pin and drag it to the right spot on the map.
Thanks, Pete |
I currently have V1.1 installed. What changes were made between that one and the V 1.1.1 you currently have up?
Also how can admins move the users markers around as some of them show up out in the middle of the ocean on the equator. I'm using VB 4.1.11 |

Have you set yourself as admin in your usergroup permissions? |
yes, even so, i'd like it available to everyone, just not unregistered/not logged in
|
seems to be permissable now. But its empty and i know for sure that there are at lease 4 users online cause they're using chat there on the bottom right :p
http://s17.postimg.org/3r7pbn5v3/Scr...t_18_51_24.png Any takers? really want to get this working x |
yeah i am also having issue with it not showing users locations only my own location, its an awesome hack though, four me would be better if a member from a user group with permission could just place himself on the map where he is and it would it show
|
Any news on this?

Is there a way to get the membermap good to work on mobile devices.
It is now to width. is there a work around to get the map to fit the screen height and width ? |
I don't believe there is at this time, sorry :(

Just not working for me.
I've checked all usergroup permissions and all settings along with different maps and all I get is my own pin & one of of my paid/subscribers. Ive made 100% sure all users/usergroups can be seen on the map and even run the cron manually. No matter what it never geo locates new members. I've logged into a standard user account and can see the pin but once its set it doesnt stay on the map. I even removed the mod and reinstalled with overwrite and nothing changed. I've paused any kind of popup/ad blockers and still no members pins. Did I miss anything??? |
Is GeoIP available on your server?
Fillip |
Nope... That would explain part of it at least. Not sure why it worked with one other member but anyways....
I spoke to the host and they have no ideal what GeoIP is. Is that a standalone PHP script that can be run on the sites root or ??? Thanks... |
Fillip,
since a few hosts seem to ignore to implement GeoIP, wouldn?t it be wise to add the MaxMind GeoIP-files to the mod package? That way all users could make use of that mod. Just needs a bit of tweaking in your mod, to work with the file instead of the PHP module. Just a suggestion :D |
Marv's ideal sounds like the way to go...
|
Host will not add GeoIP to the server because its shared. Now can I get this to work?
|
Is this mod working at all? I registered at http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com and checked out the map on your site and you seems to have the same issue I do. Only 2 pins on the map.
Im sure you have allot more members then that. Any update would be great. Thanks... |
