vBShout (vB4): 894 installs vBShout (vB3): 173 installs APTL (vB4): 1168 installs APTL (vB3): 84 installs As you can see, the amount of vB3 installation we have is a fraction of our vB4 install base. Going by the "Downloads" counter reveals a similar pattern. Please do not assume that we know nothing about the ratio of vB4 to vB3 users of our own products - it's our job to know these things. Thank you :) Fillip |
Wonderful product. Marked as installed!
Request: The ability to add a nice little "Follow User" button (which would appear in postbit, signature, wherever) I installed but users wouldn't even know this exists unless I linked them to the follow users page, where they have to manually enter in a username to follow (which is difficult for the users who have exotic usernames)... Thank you! |
That has been requested before and is under consideration for future versions.

I ended up having to disable this mod as it was causing severely high server load. (Specifically, mysql)
We're on Linux/Apache, fcgi, PHP 5.3.21, vb 4.2.1 Our load averages went from under 2.00 to up to 35.00+ after enabling the mod. Would love to know if anyone else has had this problem and what the fix may be. Thank you |
No one else has reported such an issue with the mod. I am not sure why it would produce that on your setup.

Update
Hotfix: PHP 5.4 Compatibility fixes This does not guarantee the mod is error free on PHP 5.4, but it will take care of the reported errors. Thank you all for your reports :) Fillip |
Going to give this a try, sounds interesting...
|
Does this works with 4.2.X ? seems to me interesting mod.
|
I do believe so :)

So anything further on getting a follow button from the user profile screen or even integrate it into your hover mod as well?
Also on the popup when you click on a users name in a thread. Thanks for another great mod. Just need some more bells and whistles. |
It's an interesting idea, but linking it to notifications seems like it could get very annoying very quickly, especially if you follow a lot of people. Imagine if Twitter emailed you every time someone you followed tweeted! Why not just a page which shows posts from folks you're following? Seems like a much more elegant and intuitive way to handle it. You could keep the notifications for those who really want them.

will this mod works in vbulletin 3.8.x version?
|
No, this is for the vB4 series. It was never made as a vB3 mod.
