as per request... and because i was stupid not to check before, the new 1.0.2 version updated 30 seconds ago is now compatible with mobile styles... the engine auto-deactivate on mobiles!

simply reupload the file in the /nex/ folder... the product file was not changed!

draver 04-10-2012 07:33 PM

thanks, it´s works for threats and subforums but not for forumhome.

Yes, only the forumhome mobile style is not displayed correctly.
Threats an subforum in mobile style are displayed correctly if this mod is enabled.

vbenhancer 04-11-2012 10:44 AM

oh... yeah, thanks for the report... i have to edit this as well, thanks!

Ok, this was a missing part to be updated... it is now fixed, just need testing to see if it fits for all!

version 1.0.3 need the product file to be re-imported, no changes to the file, no need to upload it again.

I have a vb4.1.12 forum and I get this for the checkboxes.

I have uploaded and enabled/disabled several times but I'm not fixing it.

Mark

vbenhancer 04-12-2012 04:26 PM

hum, this is supposed to show like this only when you deactivate the product...

markp_2000 04-12-2012 07:56 PM

I got it fixed. I had the plugins disabled globally in config.php. Your comment pointed me in the right direction.

Mark

http://mywebsite/vb/#

Shouldn't the # be "{vb:raw relpath}#top" ? I tried that and it still won't collapse.

Did you ever get this to work?

I'm having exactly the same issue on my forum. The sidebar collapse works w/ the default vb sidebar, but not w/ this product.

The error is also something to do w/ the YUI something or other..

TIA for any help.

pokusek 06-27-2012 04:40 PM

It seems that with vB 4.2 the sidebar does not work on pages online.php and memberlist.php (+ all data from the database does not display on these pages).

For anyone having this issue w/ a non-default style; I figured out what the fix is for this.

Search all of the '..._NEX_SIDEBAR' templates for '+ yuipath +' and replace it with: '{vb:stylevar yuipath}' - you have to remove the single quotes and '+' characters on either side too - seems it was looking for a JS variable instead of a vb variable..

Maybe this fix should be included in the next release?

Cheers

ihstiv 07-05-2012 07:35 PM

Thanks for this great product.

Here is a vote to have the sidebar included on the vb 4.2 'activity stream' page in the next release.

Let me know if there are some easy steps for me to implement this myself..

THANKS for this fix... i was not aware of that problem/bug, will edit the release this week-end!

reteep 07-10-2012 05:43 AM

Dear nexia,

thanks for this great mod, it's the best Sidebar Mod available right now!

I was wondering if it is also possible to show a sidebar on usercp.php and private.php?

Kind Regards
Andreas

vbenhancer 07-10-2012 02:47 PM

hum, for the usercp and private, i was to rethink their actual sidebar to make it more fluid with the forum's one and merge both in a greater look... i will take some days to make it so, as i'm upgrading all my other tools on my official site.

ihstiv 07-10-2012 06:41 PM

I discovered that the FORUMHOME_NEX_SIDEBAR template has this (unnecessary?) code that was causing duplicate comment punctuation marks between my currently logged in users, so I removed it and it solved the problem: {vb:raw loggedin.comma}

location:
<li>{vb:stylevar dirmark}<a class="username" href="{vb:link member, {vb:raw loggedin}}">{vb:raw loggedin.musername}</a>{vb:raw loggedin.invisiblemark}{vb:raw loggedin.buddymark}{vb:raw loggedin.comma}</li>

unless I'm missing the reason it was there, this might be a good fix for the next release.

Cheers

actually, you are right AND wrong... :)

what you found is in the FORUMHOME template, in vB 4.2 template... not in my template with is based on the 4.1.12 version of the FORUMHOME template...

so yes, i have to update my template to fit both versions !!!

Happy to be wrong, but I didn't see that snippet in the vb 4.2 template.. only in the NEX template. regardless, seems like it shouldn't be there. cheers. :)

Does anybody know how to implement the strip_bbcode() function or similar, so that we don't see bbcode displayed in the sidebar content? TIA

update:

I realized this is only occuring on my forum home page which uses vb cms widget, so I added this code:
$thread['previewtext'] = strip_bbcode($thread['previewtext'], true, true, false, true, false);

after this line:
$thread['previewtext'] = fetch_censored_text($parser->get_preview($thread['message'], $this->default_previewlen, $allow_html));

..in this file:
forum/packages/vbcms/widget/recentthreads.php

.. and it removed the bbcode.

apologies that this is not directly related to this mod.. This mod already removes bbcode from sidebar content as desired.

If it's not directly related then you should not post such things in a modification thread as it derails the topic per say. Please open a new thread (possibly in https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=252 ) and ask this there ;).

Working great for me, thanks! Just what we wanted to get our content into the forums so the users can see the stories and such. Thrilled this was out there, mucho gracias!

JackieChun 08-19-2012 05:15 AM

I'm not sure if I imported this right, but the options of different pages are not showing up for me. I uploaded the nex folder to the vbulletin directory and then imported product-nex_sidebar_everywhere_42 on the Products page in admincp. I created a random product name and ID, since it wasn't there by default.
