Installed the new version,I can't see the buttons in posts.

Have you removed setting options from AdminCP > Settings > Options > [DavidsMods.com] vBHide v1?

All I see now is (apart from the separate Usergroup Settings)

Do you wish to enable the [HIDE] tag? YES/NO

Also, probably won't use this until you consider compatibility with Post Thank You Hack but thanks for updating :)

The lite version only has a setting for the [HIDE] tag. Also, there already is thank you hack functionality built in :)

Downloaded Pro from your site and that is the only option it gave me in Settings.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. I'll look at adding Post Thank You Hack compatibility myself (considering it has nearly 3000 installs I thought it would make sense to include compatibility)

Strange on David, i had it working - then it stopped working in same thread after about 5 people had said it worked ? Nothing changed at all on forum.

Just a suggestion you might consider with this mod would be making a setting in admincp to allow or disallow which usergroups can see hidden content even when hide tags are used in a post. As I see it now every usergroup needs to reply to see content with hide tags. I may be missing something here and this is just a suggestion.

Now time for the Moderator inside me to reply as well :( but it's not that bad lol, just do me a favor and limit discussion of the Pro/Paid version as it's against the rules to do so repeatedly, the mention of it in the modifications description initially is ok and I didn't have a problem w/ the one free code being given away but let's not do that repeatedly as it's still "drumming up" possible clients and sales to the pro version and I can't allow that to continue.

The thing about usergroup is available, but in PRO version only.. like the description says.
Question for David: Are you going to update this script from now on ? I might buy it if you keep up the good work.

I think there is a misunderstanding of what I was suggesting. You should read description again as both the free and paided has usergroup setting to allow using the tags but I'm asking for another setting thats allows particular usergroups to see content that is hidden when someone post a thread using the tags. An example would be like admin, smods, etc....

I shall be updating this mod for the foreseeable future :) I have a few more ideas I want to implement and also am interested in a few user suggestions also! :) Also long as there is something reasonable to add to this mod, it will be, within reason i.e. I don't want to end up bloating the mod with useless features.

I have a bug. I had a guest post a thread which i didn't allow and went to delete, upon which i get the following error and it won't allow delete :

Fatal error: Class 'DMODS_Hide' not found in /home/8******/public_html/**********/dmods/hide/plugins/threaddata_delete.php on line 3

Have you set usergroup permissions in the usergroup manager?

Yeh, only admins can use all tags. Cannot delete thread that gues/unregistered started and get the above error.

p.s There were no tags used in the posts/thread either.

Mmmmm, nice. Works very good, but I found a minus. Hope you would fix this:
- when using [hide-thanks] feature under [DBTech] Advanced Post Thanks, the one who presses "Thanks" can't see the content instantly. He/She needs to refresh the page. Is it the same with Like mod or [AJAX] Post Thank You Hack ?

By default, it should show the content instantly. It does on my test board anyway. Are you sure you are up to the latest version and have set the varname option correctly?

Hi David. Seems that still something happening out of the ordinary. Posted thread yesterday testing hide tag and showgroup tags. All well and first 5 or 6 people testing it said it worked fine, everyone who replied saw the hide hidden content and only those with permission saw the showgroup tags. However, later that night it appears that it stopped working and hide tag no longer worked in the very same thread. Must be a cron or something which is running at certain times and conflicting with thios mod perhaps ? I dunno. Even as admin i can now no longer see the hidden content in the thread. Strange but hopefully you have an idea :)

Could you set up an administrator account for me with SQL query permissions? This would drastically help me! :)
